Kardashian-Jenners win!

On Monday, the judge at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles ruled out that the Kardashians-Jenners were cleared of all the key questions and there was no evidence found or presented in front of the judge and jury that showcased that Blac Chyna suffered financial damages due to the cancelation of season two of Rob and Chyna.

Blac Chyna filed a lawsuit in 2017 against Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner, for nearly $140 Million claiming that they the family members tried to use their influence to interfere with her deals with the network that premiered Rob and Chyna and got it canceled. Blac Chyna also claimed in her lawsuit that the family had tried to defame her on social media, which led to her financial and emotional setbacks.

After listening to every one of them for nine days along with the closing statements from their lawyers, the jury, which included twelve men and women, reached a verdict after 10 hours of deliberation that there were no evidence found that Blac Chyna suffered because of the Kardashians. But the jury was sent back to the jury room to answer two outstanding questions, which although did not change the outcome of the ruling. The jury decided that there was no subsequent evidence found that showcased that the family members tried to defame Blac Chyna or tried to interfere with her contract with E!

Both lawyers, Michael G. Rhodes and Lynne Ciani were present at the courthouse along with Blac Chyna, but the Kardashians and Jenners were in New York for the Met Gala 2022. After the verdict was announced, Kar-Jenner’s attorney, Michael G. Rhodes, shared that he had spoken to them and that they were just happy to have this lawsuit behind them. He also added that the case was crystal clear and the jury had done a great job in deciding the verdict. Finally, Michael added that the family is pleased and grateful that all of this is out of their lives now and also thanked the jury and judge for giving the family a fair trial.

On the other hand, Blac Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, mentioned that she would not like to comment on Blac Chyna’s reaction and stated that she had never seen in her career that a jury had to go back in and deliberate on four questions, to which she added that her victory was that Blac Chyna did not physically abuse Rob Kardashian, and they mentioned that they had interfered with her contract before adding that they would appeal on the remaining questions. Blac Chyna was asked not to give any comments or answers to the media that was gathered outside the courthouse.

While Judge Gregory W. Alarcon ruled late last week that Kim Kardashian should not be held liable in the defamation case. The judge asked jurors to consider multiple emails and text conversations Khloé Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and Kris Jenner sent to producers and network officials in 2016 and 2017 in which they expressed their concerns about documenting Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna's troubled relationship.

Various network and production executives had testified in courtroom that the network did not give a green lit to the second season of Rob & Chyna because of the fact that the former couple’s relationship took a tumultuous turn and no longer fit the network’s vision. The network did not want to showcase a complicated relationship on-screen as they were looking for something that was light and could help people escape the reality and Rob and Chyna was definitely not that. The executives shared that the former couple had made the filming of season one very difficult as they refused to be in the same room.

Judge Gregory W. Alarcon further advised jurors to consider that even after given time for six years, Blac Chyna failed to provide any tax returns, financial statements, or other papers related to her income or expenses in the courtroom. The judge pointed out that jury needs to decide whether she hid them purposefully or not.

The jury also singled out Kylie Jenner as the one who intended to disrupt the performance of Blac Chyna’s contract with E! The jury mentioned that Kylie’s statement that Blac Chyna would proceed with using the physically abused Rob was not true, but they answered "NO" when asked if Kylie Jenner’s conduct served as a substantial factor in causing harm to Blac.

The jury, although mentioned that the Kardashians often acted in bad faith and they should not have spoken or informed the executives and producers that Blac Chyna had abused Rob Kardashian, but decided that there was no substantial effect on Blac Chyna's contract or the fate of the show, and she was awarded no damages. It has been formed that the season two of Rob and Chyna was canceled because the former couple had broken up and there was no Rob and Chyna to film.

Blac Chyna's case isn't completely closed, though as separate claims in the lawsuit against Rob Kardashian, in which he is the sole defendant is expected to start in approximately a week. Blac Chyna sued Rob Kardashian after he posted nude pictures of her online as 'revenge porn'.
