Stranger Things 4 is sure to be much stranger than all other seasons we saw earlier. The show will make a reappearance on Netflix on May 27 and will be released in two parts. The second part of the season is expected to be released by July 1.

The story picks right after the Battle at Starcourt Mall as the main group of Hawkins sees itself divided. Then there is the fate of the local police chief, Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour, in concern. The Byers family, including Joyce by Winona Ryder, Jonathan by Charlie Heaton, and Will by Noah Schnapp, are also facing an uncertain future.

The show's favorite, Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, has decided to leave the town forever. However, Hawkins is facing imminent danger, something far more sinister than the familiar Upside Down. Yet, if the new threat is countered, the Upside Down would see itself eliminated too.

Collider had a talk with the cast of the show last year and discussed where they think their characters and the story are headed. The cast members talked about their relationship dynamics with each other, how they are planning to fight off the paranormal evil they are faced with and how they developed their own characters meanwhile.

Season 3 saw Joe Keery's Steve in a peculiar position, removed from his truth and in the search of finding someone to share his burdens. Rumor has it that the character is all set to face something similar in the fourth season as well, and yet his character could definitely have a growing arc.

Sharing what he thinks about his character, Joe Kery said that at a young age of his character, many people are searching for someone to share their life with. There is not a specific direction that he is walking to achieve this goal but he has the urge of developing a bond based on "commitment and loyalty."

Soo, he finds that he can confide in Robin and that the two have a good connection. Season 4 shows them bonded even tighter and come off stronger than before.

Explaining how he wanted to alter his character to his specific liking, Keery shared that though his character was not the brightest of the light bulbs, he had an inbuilt sense of passion to safeguard all the people around him. Keery wishes he gets to continue a similar theme with his character in season 4 too.

Not only is he excited to see where his characters reach as they move forward with the story, but also sees how the ideas of the Duffer boys and all their plans that they have been building over time come together. He's intrigued by seeing the plot coming together from the little pieces and bits that the creators had laid everywhere.

Hawke also shared his experience from the sets of the show. He claimed that the creators were particularly attentive to him, given that he was a new addition to the cast.

He shared that the Duffers are really open to allowing actors to bring to the table whatever they have and then make necessary changes to instill those qualities into the characters. Hence, they practically focus their characters on the actors that they have met.

Yet still, they do not allow changes into the story as someone else seems fit. Like anyone could pitch an idea to them, they would listen but still continue on with their original plan. The creators share a very specific orientation towards the narration they choose and are extremely aware of all the plot aspects just as they choose.

In such a context, it is of admirable notice that they let the actors mold the roles to their own individuality and also add mannerisms or dialogues that they think the actor could depict better. Hence, Hawke shared that while he had a good time on the show, there is not much that he could bring to his storyline that was not on the paper.

For Priah Ferguson, her character saw some basic changes in age and growth as she was younger back in Season 2. Her acting style back in the time was based on her being a teenager but she was much older when she returned for Season 3 and successively Season 4. That is the change she thinks she saw in her character over the course of the series.

The actors also shared that playing the supernatural components of the series along with normal relationship portrayals just like any other work are both very fun aspects of acting in the series. They get to share a lot of inside jokes and experience things together.

Keery explained that the fight scenes with the monsters and the bogeys are a lot different than enacting a scene with a partner in the series. Therefore, getting to play a scene with a partner that includes some good dialogues is pure joy for the actors.

Revealing his favorite scenes, the actor said he liked playing the specific scenes in the bathroom, and down the lab in the last season, but he also enjoys times when he gets to dabble with emotional relationships on screens and when the episodes are more about interconnections than the action sequences. Yet, he maintained that both parts of the series are equally amazing to play.

Hawke shared a similar thought saying that while action sequences are fun to play, watch and enact, he really enjoys seeing the relationship dynamics bud between the characters. Hawke greatly appreciated the stuntman ship of Joe Keery and admitted that the actor is probably as great as Indiana Jones when it comes to action.
