Avatar fans are having the time of their life knowing that their favorite movie is coming back with a sequel! Avatar 2 is finally happening.

The original Avatar film was soon followed by the news that the film's sequel will be launched in 2014. But things kept on taking turns and eight years passed since any news of a new sequel came forward. Avatar 2 went through seven sessions of delays and a lot of reschedules before it finally came into reality.

The film is helmed by James Cameron and embarks on an alien journey where the story takes place underwater. Apart from the coming of Avatar now being official news, the title of the film was also revealed during the CinemaCon festival.

The latest Avatar film is named Avatar: The Way of Water!

The teasing footage from the film was revealed at CinemaCon after Disney became the owner of the franchise after having acquired 20th Century Fox in 2019. The long-awaited footage of the film was revealed to a congression of theater owners in Vegas at the Caesars Palace.

The film was watched by the attendees of the CinemaCon event using 3D glasses as they sat through the trailer of the film. The most interesting part was that there was an almost negligible amount of dialogue in the film and yet it managed to vow to all the audience.

The trailer consisted of massive amounts of visually simulating scenes that expanded over the vast regions of Pandora, the world of Avatar residents. It features a fascinating detail of the clear blue oceans of the blue planet along with sweeping glances of the vast lakes.

As the film is strongly focused on the way of water, the trailer showed the local Na'vi tribe of the planet living alongside massive sea creatures like whales and pelicans. The 3D makeup of the film made it look like the world was very much real and all around the audience as the creatures from the film swished and flew right into the faces of the audience.

The story of the Way of the Water takes place a decade after the events of the first film and features a storytelling experience by the Sully family. The family consists of Jake, Neytiri, and their children.

The narration is highly endearing considering the lovely and terrifying experiences the family goes through. They face certain hardships with headstrong determination and are highly adamant when it comes to saving their family. They are strong and courageous when it comes to fighting their battles and even more enduring when it comes to lose and tragedy.

It is only right when Jake Sully, played by Sam Worthington, says that wherever the family goes, they will always be safe with each other as their family is their "fortress." The trailer of the film is supposed to make its debut in theaters prior to the screening of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness by Marvel. The film will start screening on May 6.

The film's trailer featured a pre-recorded presentation by James Cameron, who is presently in New Zealand and is working on adding the finishing touches to the film. In his presentation for CinemaCon, the director shared that Avatar 2 is made for the biggest of the cinema screens and will be the best experience when watched with 3D technology. He added that the film is a test of the limits of cinema and how far the experience can be pushed.

Jon Landau. who was also working along with Cameron on the film in New Zealand, made way to CinemaCon for only 24 hours to share that film will feature family as the central theme of the story and the coming four sequels. Regardless, the films can be watched as standalone productions and will have their own individual conclusions for a sense of satisfaction at the end of the movie experience.

The film's team is aiming for an audience experience that they will not be able to achieve anywhere else and want to draw out people to cinema screens for watching Avatar 2, said the producer.

The film is budgeted at the massive amount of $250 Million and brings back Cameron, Worthington, Saldana, and others to reprise their roles. Avatar 2 will also include  Sigourney Weaver, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, and Stephen Lang in the film.

There will also be plenty of new faces to join the cast of the sequel, including Kate Winslet, Vin Diesel, Michelle Yeoh, Edie Falco, Cliff Curtis, and Jemaine Clement.

The audience is part excited and part scared when it comes to the sequel of Avatar as they wish for an incredible experience following the historic run of the first Avatar film. Yet, it looks like the Na'vi tribe is well set to provide an immersive experience that will stand true to the expectations of the audience.

Cameron is known for his brilliance and the pandemic was a boon for the director as his incredible sci-fi production reached the mark of $2.802 billion in collective earning, once again solidifying its genius and reaching ahead of Avengers: Endgame.
