One of the most anticipated films of this year is superstar Keanu Reeves’ fourth installment in the superpopular The Matrix film series, The Matrix Resurrections, slated to release next month in theatres on 22nd December, with the storyline continuing twenty years after the events of its predecessor The Matrix Revolutions where Keanu Reeves’ Thomas Anderson also known as Neo is living a normal life far away from all the troubles but the film’s plot takes a big turn when Neo is prescribed to take blue pills by a therapist in San Francisco which ultimately helps him in reopening his mind to the world of Matrix.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Jessica Henwick, who would be seen in action in the role of Bugs along with Jon Wick’s actor Reeves in the Lana Wachowski directed science fiction, while recent appearing at an interview with Collider, hit the fans with shocking detail, the Games of Thrones actress said that at one point of time Wachowski thought of abandoning the movie because of all the issues caused due to the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic, highlighting that the halt in film’s production had major effects on the cast and crew.

"Now that's somewhere I felt pressure because those fights are so seminal [to The Matrix]," Henwick said. "Those moments from the original have stayed in my head, so many of those fight beats, that was really where I was intimidated going into it. I knew I had to be performing up here. You're performing with Keanu [Reeves]. It's John Wick. He knows what he's doing. You can't hold him back, in any way. I had to give it my all. I devoted myself to it. We trained pretty hard in the run-up, and we kept training all the way through filming," Henwick began, explaining to Collider about the various action scenes that are included in the movie, which makes it really special and a cherry on top of the cake with all other elements and aspects of the movie for the franchise’s fans.

"When we were shut down for COVID and we went off three months, I think it was, I still was at home training every day, even though we didn't know if we were going back. When we got shut down for COVID, Lana said, 'Well, maybe that's it. Maybe we won't come back and film the rest of it. Maybe the new Matrix will go down as this legendary film which [is] incomplete, and no one will ever be able to see it. Maybe that's what this is meant to be.' And we were all going, 'No, you have to finish the film.' But she really did toy with the idea of just calling it quits. I don't know if I'm meant to be talking about that," She added, revealing that because of the whole fiasco created by the pandemic not only for them [cast and crew of Marix Ressurection] but for the larger film industry, eventually forced the production of the Matrix film to stop, which had a devastating effect on Wachowski because at one of point in time she was soo unsure about the status of the upcoming flicker that she thought of abanding it completely.

In addition to Jessica Henwick in the role of Bugs and Keanu Reeves in the role of Thomas Anderson / Neo, set to be distributed under the banner of Warner Bros The Matrix Resurrections also stars other cast members who are also going to have big and important roles in the film as their respective characters such as Carrie-Anne Moss in the role of Trinity, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II  in the role of Morpheus.
