Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Jessica Henwick, who will be joining the star cast of the fourth Matrix film, The Matrix Resurrections, scheduled to debut in theatres as well as on HBO Max on 22nd December, as a Christmas gift for the fans and followers, who were for the longest time dying to see Keanu Reeves’ character Neo also known as Thomas Anderson in some hard-hitting actions and stunning visuals, following the plot where Neo after finally coming out of the Matrix world to live his life as an ordinary man apart from all the war and stuff, as the fans got to see in its predecessor Matrix Revolution where Keeves’ Neo got involved himself in the battle between robots and humans, somehow once again manages to return to the troublesome world in order to take the fans through the ride of the superpopular Matrix franchise.

While Hewick’s presence as a newcomer in the superhit film series is one of the main things the fans are looking forward to and are excited about as to how the actress’ character Bugs will fit into the puzzle of the Matrix world, the film star in one of her recent interviews for the promotion of her much-hyped movie opened up about her experience while working on the Matrix film with the 56-year-old film director Lana Wachowski, who previously also lead the other three blockbusters in the film series which includes The Matix released in 1999, The Matrix Reloaded released in 2003 and The Matix Revolutions released in the same year.

“She’s very creative and she has a very, very strong vision. She doesn’t work like any of the directors I’ve worked with. She loves running takes, so we’ll often go 20 minutes without a single cut. And she doesn’t do the normal thing, which is, "Okay, let’s set up for shooting A side, and we’ll shoot the wide, the medium, the closeup, and then we can all move the lights so that we can shoot B side." Everyone had to be aware that it was 360, at all times. She would stand next to the operator and she would be shooting. Keanu is speaking and she’s shooting. She’s handling the camera, zooming in on him, and then she would just turn, and suddenly the camera will be on you, even though you’re on the other side of the line. That’s how she shoots. It’s very much how she feels, at the moment. It’s very instinctive for her. It’s fascinating to watch. I’ve never worked with a director who is going so much on a gut feeling,” Henwick said to Collider in a recent interview, recalling her experience while having the opportunity to work on the movie with Wachowski and at the same time also praising the American filmmaker for her unique style of filming scenes which she had never seen before, describing it “as very instinctive for her.” Henwick also noted that Wachowski loves taking long-running shots takes which is exactly what she also did with the upcoming Matrix film, where they [the cast and crew of The Matrix Resurrections] had to shoot several scenes from the film for straight twenty minutes without even taking a single cut, emphasizing it as one of the main things that set her apart from other filmmakers in the industry.

The complete cast list of  The Matrix Resurrections looks like this, Jessica Henwick in the role of Bugs and Keanu Reeves in the role of Thomas Anderson aka Neo, Carrie-Anne Moss in the role of Trinity, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II  in the role of Morpheus. The distribution of the film is set to take place under media giant Warner Bros.
