Alec Baldwin was terrified after the Rust incident.

Actor Alec Baldwin appeared for an interview with CNN that aired on Friday and shared that post the incident that occurred on the sets of "Rust," where the director of photography Halyna Hutchins, unfortunately, lost her life was the scariest thing ever. The actor shared that he was scared for his life after former President Donald Trump made comments on a right-wing podcast suggesting that maybe the incident was not an accident.

Alec Baldwin mentioned in the interview that former President Donald Trump had implied during a podcast that he had shot the director of photography Halyna Hutchins on purpose. Alec added that at the time, he was extremely concerned about his safety as the former president, who had incited others to use violence, was accusing him of shooting a member of his crew and added that one hundred percent he is nervous and scared that people might come for him too.

Alec Baldwin has maintained his position that he did not fire the trigger during the incident, which injured director of photography Joel Souza and claimed the life of the director of photography Halyna Hutchins. The FBI's forensic investigation this week concluded that the accident's pistol could not have been shot without pushing the trigger. But the charges have not yet been decided upon by the prosecution.

Alec also appeared on The Chris Cuomo Project podcast where he revealed that Donald Trump’s son made T-shirts that read, "Guns Don’t Kill People, Alec Baldwin Kills People," and they sold them on a website. Following the release of the FBI forensics report, Alec Baldwin's lawyer, Luke Nikas, released a statement in which he claimed that the medical examiner's report which found that the incident was a tragic accident was more important. The fact that Alec Baldwin had no control over or awareness of the supposedly dangerous situations on the set has now been uncovered by the New Mexico authorities three times. According to the statement, the safety officer on set told the actor that the gun was cold and that they believed it to be secure.

Luke asserted that the FBI report is being interpreted incorrectly and that the pistol was tested only once, automatically firing when the hammer was pushed back and breaking into two parts. In any past test, the FBI was unable to fire the firearm despite pushing the trigger due to its bad state. Additionally, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, a Rust armorer, had her lawyer issue a long statement to ET.

The recently revealed FBI findings contradict Alec Baldwin's earlier claims and those of Assistant Director Halls, who also claimed Alec Baldwin did not pull the trigger, by demonstrating that the revolver was in fine operating condition and that Baldwin had to have done so to shoot it. The statement, in part, states that The New Mexico Environmental Department's (OSHA) new lawsuit shows major production problems on the Rust set which might have averted this terrible incident.

The statement from Hannah's representative further continued that the new documents show how many production members tried to deflect blame and use Hannah, a 24-year-old armorer, as a scapegoat from the outset of this disaster. Hannah was assigned two duties to complete assisting with props and the crucial role of an armorer but she was not given enough time or training days to do so despite repeated pleas and respect due to the armorer's position and obligations. Alec Baldwin in particular disregarded Hannah's wishes to practice the cross-draw technique specifically, which would entail never pulling the trigger and never aiming the gun at anyone.

Alec Baldwin also explained that he had been laid off from his previous job the day before the interview and that he had lost five jobs since the accident. He also mentioned that he had been called to cancel an interview the day before he was scheduled to go to a movie set and jump on a place. This was due to an accident that occurred on the Rust set. The actor said that the stress of the situation has stolen years off of his life and that he had been the target of a never-ending stream of uninformed attacks.

The actor, who has been through so much, said that he has relied on his wife’s support to survive and get through such a difficult time in his life. Alec said that he did not know what he would do if he did not have his wife, sticking by his side, and admitted that he would have probably quit, retired, gone off, sold everything he owned, get a house in the middle of nowhere and just, you know, did find something else to do, sell real estate.

Alec Baldwin said that he, along with some of the cast and crew, would like to finish the filming of Rust and use the film’s proceeds to help and support Halyna Hutchins’ husband and children, but nothing has been said or made certain as of now.
