Marvel Studios Thor Ragnarok was one of the most awaited superhero films released in 2017, directed by 46-year-old filmmaker Taika Waititi and was a big commercial success for the studio as it earned over a whopping $854 million at the box office around the world.

While the superhero-based franchise Marvel is now all set to release its upcoming superhero blockbuster Thor: Love And Thunder in theatres next year on 8 July 2022, the film director Taika Waititi in a recent interview with Empire said that Thor: Love And Thunder is "the craziest film" he's ever directed.

Waititi, while pointing out to the interviewer, made a surprising statement by saying that "if you wrote down all the elements of this film, it shouldn't make sense."

Well, just between [me and] you and the readers, I've done some crazy sh*t in my life. I've lived, like, ten lifetimes. But it's the craziest film I've ever done, If you wrote down all the elements of this film, it shouldn't make sense."

Waititi further emphasized that "It's almost like it shouldn't be made. If you walked into a room and said, 'I want this and this and this.' Who's in it? These people. What are you going to call it? Love And Thunder. I mean, you'd never work again. Maybe I won't after this."

Waititi continued by explaining that the upcoming film will be very different from its predecessor Ragnarok and it will involve a lot more emotions and love. "It's very different from Ragnarok, It's crazier. I'll tell you what's different. There'll be far more emotion in this film. And a lot more love. And a lot more thunder. And a lot more Thor, if you've seen the photos."

With Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi as the director and writer of the film along with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the film features superstars like Chris Hemsworth in the role of Thor, Tessa Thompson in the role of Valkyrie, Natalie Portman in the role of Jane Foster / Mighty Thor, Christian Bale in the role of Gorr the God Butcher, Chris Pratt in the role of Peter Quill / Star-Lord, Jaimie Alexander in the role of Sif, Pom Klementieff in the role of Mantis, Dave Bautista in the role of Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan in the role of Nebula, Sean Gunn in the role of Kraglin Obfonteri, Jeff Goldblum in the role of Grandmaster, Vin Diesel in the role of Groot and additional actors Matt Damon, Sam Neill, Luke Hemsworth, Melissa McCarthy, Russell Crowe also has a cameo appearance.
