Tiffany Haddish addresses the child sex abuse lawsuit's settlement in her recent tweet and expresses her gratitude.

Comedian actress Tiffany Haddish recently addressed the child sex abuse lawsuit that was filed against her and comedian Aries Spears.

Tiffany Haddish stated in a series of tweets that God has been redecorating her life recently, and she must admit that she was initially uneasy, but once she saw where he was going with it, she felt much better. The actress added, "Thank you, God," stating that God is the best at getting rid of the mess and subtly saying that when she says mess, everyone knows who and what she is talking about.

Tiffany also replied to a fan who had commented, "Best of luck to the actress," adding that they hope that people don’t cancel her or judge her because they don’t know the facts, to which she said that the only one who can cancel her is God.

On September 20th, it was noted that an anonymous woman identified as Jane Doe had filed a request with the court to have the lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish and Aries Spears dismissed. Jane Doe claimed in her August lawsuit that comedians groomed her and her brother, identified as John Doe, to perform sexual acts as minors as part of a comedy skit. According to the filing, Jane was 14 at the time of the alleged sexual acts, and John was 7 at the time. Tiffany Haddish has denied all of the allegations leveled against her.

Jane Doe reportedly asked the judge in the case in September to dismiss the lawsuit against Tiffany Haddish with prejudice, which means that the civil suit cannot be lodged again in the years ahead. After failing to have the lawsuit dismissed, the woman told TMZ that her family and she had known Tiffany Haddish for many years and that she would never harm her or her brother or help anyone else do anything that could harm them. The statement concluded that they wish Tiffany the best and are relieved to be able to put this behind them and move on. Two days later, the case was dismissed.

Surprisingly, Jane and John both stated in their lawsuit filed in August that their involvement in the sketches left them with trust issues, making it difficult for them to form friendships and relationships. John shared in his therapy that he refuses to be recorded or photographed. He is afraid of weird-ass adults trying to do nasty stuff to him again adding that he spends all of his time in his room and never leaves because he doesn't trust anyone.

Tiffany Haddish revealed after the case was dismissed that the initial filing of the lawsuit in August and the allegations that followed caused her to lose all of her gigs, leading her to conclude that she did not have a job. The actress did not specify what jobs or projects she has lost but it was announced in May that she would return to the Apple TV+ series The Afterparty. Her most recent upcoming film, Disney's Haunted Mansion, is currently in post-production and will be released in March 2023.

Tiffany Haddish's lawyer, Andrew Brettler, previously stated in a statement about the lawsuit that the plaintiff, Jane Doe's mother, has been attempting to make false claims against Tiffany Haddish for several years. Andrew went on to say that every attorney who took on Tiffany Haddish's case, and there were so many, ultimately dropped it when it was clear that the assertions have been without validity and Tiffany Haddish wouldn't be shaken down. He went on to say that now that the mother's adult daughter is representing herself in the lawsuit, the two of them will have to confront the ramifications of their superficial action together.
