Todd and Julie Chrisley are to report to prison in January.

Todd and Julie Chrisley are required to report to Florida prisons in January to fulfill their sentences, according to People magazine. Todd Chrisley will be held at Federal Correctional Institution Marianna, while Julie Chrisley will be held at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola. The prisons are about two and a half hours away, and the reality TV couple is believed to be placed in a low-security facility.

After being found guilty of federal tax evasion last month, the couple was sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison. Todd Chrisley was convicted to 12 years in prison and 16 months parole, while Julie Chrisley received a 7-year prison sentence and 16-month probation. The verdict, which was supposed to be announced in October, was declared in November after the couple motioned for a second trial and acquittal in August that the initial trial had been improper to them. In their episode of Chrisley Confessions, the couple revealed that they are not allowed to discuss the case after their attorneys have filed an appeal.

The Chrisleys claimed that an IRS Revenue officer made false statements in her witness statements about the Chrisleys having to pay back taxes when she knew they didn't. They asserted that the declarations painted the Chrisleys as untrustworthy, likely to engage in other types of fraud, and trying to evade the paying taxes allegations made in the indictment.

Documents filed by the couple also claimed that there was no substantiation that Julie chose to participate in any of the particular alleged bank frauds in their plea for a mistrial. Their lawyer also asserted that there was inadequate evidence to prove that Todd and Julie decided to commit financial crimes, bank fraud, tax avoidance, or conspiracy to defraud the United States.

They also accused the court of acknowledging "substantial volumes of evidence in the trial acquired in breach of the Fourth Amendment," quoting financial information they claimed was "forcefully taken" by Georgia's Department of Revenue and was initially quashed by the court. The document continues by accusing the jury of failing to "correctly impose its inhibition order" by having allowed some of the above-mentioned documentary evidence to be admitted as evidence.

The family members were in absolute disbelief when the decision was announced, according to a source, and they are still saying that when they did hear the verdict last month, they had all been emotional and couldn't believe it was the verdict. According to a source at HollywoodLife, the pair and their children were speechless following the sentencing.

They went on to say that Todd and Julie didn't want to see anyone after the announcement of the verdict apart from family and that they are currently speechless and inconsolable. Grayson and Chloe are taking it the hardest as they all rely on Todd and Julie. It's a terrible day for all of them and they have been leaning on their faith to pull them through such a difficult phase. Todd and Julie Chrisley appealed their sentences and continued to maintain their sincerity all through the trial. Peter Tarantino, their former account manager, was also given a three-year sentence in prison and 3 years of supervised probation. On May 1, he will report to prison.

According to their attorney, Alex Little, their trial was clouded by severe and replicated mistakes, along with the government lying to jury members about the couple's tax payments. She went on to say that based on all these issues, they are optimistic for the future. The Chrisley Knows Best couple has two minor children, Chloe Chrisley, 10, and Grayson Chrisley, 16. Savannah Chrisley had originally offered to show up for the younger children on a recent episode of her podcast.
