Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley are talking about their nightmare.

Just two days after Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to a combined 19 years in federal prison after the couple was found liable in their tax fraud case, the couple released their previously recorded podcast on "Chrisley Confessions."

In the podcast episode, Julie Chrisley shared everybody already understands by now that they've been living a horrible experience, and she is having to look to God and religious sermons to help direct her through this difficult time. She stated that, while she understands, as a Christian, that God can perform miracles, she is still afraid.

Todd Chrisley continued that despite their legal circumstance, they are taking God's lessons he is teaching them by removing them and trying to remind them of their roots. The reality star went on to say that being constantly in the spotlight all the time had upset them and that they were living a nice life before they got into it, but he did not want to live that life once they got into it.

Todd added that he did not like how people kept knocking at their door at night or chased the family down the interstate only to get a picture of them after they spotted them in a car. He stated that he has issues with that, including anxiety. The couple who will be serving in federal prison spoke in their podcast about how they are now closer and more connected than ever. Julie explained that when people go through traumatic events, a lot of them don’t make it, and relationships fall apart because of the stress and pressure.

Julie expressed that she is appreciative that their relationship has grown rather than deteriorated, and she mentions that the couple attaches better than they did previously. They also discussed how, while a decision is looming over their heads, they must remain strong for the children, adding that simply because they do not see justice doesn't mean that God does not see it and will not show it in his time.

On Monday, the federal judge sentenced Todd Chrisley to 12 years and Julie Chrisley to 7 years in federal prison, six months after the couple was found guilty of conspiring to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to defraud the United States, and tax fraud. The comments made during the recent episode of their podcast are the first time the couple has made known their exact feelings about the sentencing.

After the sentence was announced, Alex Little of Burr & Forman LLP, who is the family attorney for the Chrisleys, shared a statement saying that learning about the sentence was difficult for them, adding that Todd and Julie are people of faith, and their faith gives them strength as they appeal their convictions. The statement from the family attorney added that the trial was marred by serious and repeated errors, including the government lying to jurors about what taxes the couple paid.

Judge Rachel Juarez, star of the first-ever three-judge panel CBS show "Hot Bench," shared with Entertainment Tonight that the couple showed no remorse for what they had done, so according to her, that might have played into the sentence. She added that according to the judge and prosecutors, the couple failed to accept responsibility but instead blamed others for their fault, mentioning that there was significant evidence against them.

According to reports, the federal judge has recommended that Julie Chrisley serve her sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee, in the same 755-inmate facility where disgraced former socialite Ghislaine Maxwell is serving her prison sentence. Whereas for Todd Chrisley, FCI Pensacola has been recommended, which is a minimum-security prison and was once described as a laid-back facility, almost like a camp.

Deadline reported that Growing Up Chrisley, a show that focuses on Todd and Julie’s children, Chase and Savannah, has been canceled. Additionally, Savannah Chrisley broke down in her recent episode of the recently launched "Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley" podcast as she revealed that she has custody of her younger siblings, Grayson, who is 16, and Chloe, who is 10. After the sentence was announced the couple requested the judge to consider decreasing their sentences especially Julie's since she is the caregiver for Grayson and Chloe.
