In a recent interview with Total Film Tom Holland, who has become one of the leading names in the superhero-based franchise Marvel Cinematic Universe after his debut in the franchise back in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War says he has “grown and changed in the best ways possible” since he stepped in the boots of the friendly neighborhood superhero Spider-Man in the Anthony and Joe Russo directed Captain America The Winter Soldier sequel, whose storyline had its effects on studios following films which include Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The Marvel actor recalled his journey and absolutely amazing experience as the fan-favorite superhero Spider-Man while working in the Hollywood’s most successful and popular franchise MCU. Holland noted that following his MCU debut, it has really helped him in such a way that he has “really learned how to stand up for himself" in situations not favorable to him.

“I’ve grown and changed in the best ways possible. I really learned how to stand up for myself. When you first start making these films, you’ve got to do as you’re told, and you don’t think anything of it. But as time goes on you realize that you’re an actor in your film, and you need to protect yourself. Sometimes I’ll say ‘no’ as a full sentence. I’ve learned how to stand up for myself, how to behave in a professional capacity when you’re the leader. I’ve learned how to enjoy my fame, rather than run away from it,” Holland said to Total Film, emphasizing how the various ways his time in MCU, in the role of the Marvel superhero Spider-Man, has impacted his life in several ways that he could possibly have never imagined.

Holland, who has really enjoyed his ride in MCU and it is something he is also looking forward to in the future, where the fans are expecting him to star in another big Marvel project like that of Avengers Endgame, in which he could be possibly seen leading the Earth’s mightiest superhero team Avengers against an enemy at least as powerful as the Mad Titan if not more.

“It’s been an amazing experience. And as an actor, I’ve found so much confidence in my ability, through having this safety blanket that is Spider-Man. It’s like a playground for me. Somewhere I can play freely, and make mistakes. And sometimes those mistakes are the birth of the best idea, and that’s where the character’s growing from.”

“I would basically say, ’Don’t do anything for the money...I would really, really try to teach my younger self that money means nothing. Money is just a number on a screen. Then again…You know what? Scratch that. I wouldn’t tell my younger self to do anything differently. You only learn from mistakes, you don’t learn from winning. All the things I’ve done wrong have helped me end up where I am today. I haven’t done anything terrible that I would go back and change. So year, I would probably just let him get on with it, if I’m honest,” the Dolittle star replied when asked during the interview what is the one he would really love to give to a young self now after he has come a long way in his life.

Tom Holland’s appearance in Spider-Man is due, where he is expected to hit audiences through the concept of the multiverse with co-star Benedict Cumberbatch’s magician Doctor Strange.
