Superheroes and their debates have raged on since time endless. They have been in comics, T.V. series, movies and now even on O.T.T. platforms as web series. They have evolved into much broader storylines, more in-depth characters and a fascinating script. Even villains have their storylines now (Eg. Loki), and they are loved, criticized and discussed worldwide. With such a vast universe to cover and an overall storyline to keep in mind, here is a feeble and personal attempt to rank the superheroes along with their likeability.

Captain Marvel (2019)

Marvel fans were very excited about the release of this first female superhero in the Marvel world. Both figuratively and literally, she also happens to be the strongest hero of the Marvel universe. The movie delves deep into the history of Nick Fury as well as the creation of S.H.I.E.L.D. Captain Marvel, played by Bree Larson, revolves around the storyline of a Kree warrior caught in an intergalactic war amongst the people and the Skrulls. She has recurring dreams of being a past life U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. In the movie, with the help of Nick Fury, she rediscovers her past, her source of power and ways to harness her power.

Wonder Woman (2017)

Wonder Woman is the most optimistic superhero movie of the D.C. Universe. Gal Gadot has earned worldwide fame and reputation after her part in Wonder Woman. In this movie, we are introduced to Diana, princess of the Amazons, who grew up in the country home to some of the fiercest Amazon warriors in the universe. No man has ever stepped into this country. And the life of Diana takes an u-turn when she is suddenly thrown into this world, where she understands that there is more to the world than the warrior fighters she grew up with.

Superman (1978)

Yet another exciting addition to the list would be the Superman series. But the most memorable one would be Superman, which starred Richard Donner. Superman is said to be the first modern superhero movie. This movie was an instant crowd favourite and very likeable. It was not too grim and self-serious, neither was it too hard to grasp. In short, this was a movie that paved the way for superheroes into the audience's hearts.

Iron Man (2008)

Most fans do not know, but Tony Stark, aka Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, was the first-ever movie of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is the movie where some mercenaries trap a billionaire in the weapons industry, and his only hope to escape is to be reliable on the powers he holds in his mind. He then makes his own Iron Man suit in the dark cave while holding a chest full of shrapnel. Thus the concept of Iron Man is born, which is then perfected when he escapes from the cave in Iran and is back in the U.S.A.

The Dark Knight (2008)

The Dark Knight happens to be another celebrated chapter in the history of Superhero movies. The movie broke the barrier of the traditional Superhero movies and brought a new chapter. Herein the war was on that of terror. Batman was changed from the rich guy to a vigilante image. He was then taken ahead and put in front of the Joker; a villain like which no one had ever seen anything before. The movie changed the perception of people on the Superhero movie genre and made a broad fan base, which was necessary for all.

Suicide Squad (2016)

Suicide Squad is the best-reviewed movie by Warner Bros and D.C. After an apparent split with Disney-Marvel, James Gunn joined hands with D.C. to create a wonder just like he wanted. The idea paid off. This is a story of the coming together of the Supervillains to fight a force unlike anything ever seen before. Working hand in hand with the U.S. Intelligence, this group of villains must put an end to a power greater than any man has seen before. But, however, have not been told the entire truth. So which side do they choose?

Blade Trinity (2004)

This sequel was directed by Guillermo Del-Toro and is one of the first popular Marvel Comics turned movies. Starring Wesley Snipes, this is the story of Blade, who is fighting against the nation of Vampires and in this movie the humankind too. The vampire nation plans to awaken Dracula, with intentions of awakening daywalkers using the kings' blood. Blade and his team of Nightstalkers are also manufacturing a virus intended to wipe out the vampire nation once and for all. So who wins? One has to watch the magnificent ultimate vampire or the greatest vampire slayer of all time to find out.

The Incredibles (2004)

This is the only animated series on this list, but a well-deserved mention. Mr Incredible and Elastigirl are trying to raise a family of superheroes while the world has banished them. Living an everyday life, like any other family in Metroville, they have urges to resort back to the life of fighting crime but are unable to do so in any way. However, soon Mr Incredible lands a chance to go on a top-secret mission. But things are not how they seem. And all the superheroes, along with the Incredible family, must fight together to save Metroville from the supervillain.

X Men: The Last Stand (2006)

Apparently, one of the most hyped and anticipated movies of the X Men series. Herein we see Jean Grey, the mutant who has been so portrayed as the best and goody-two-shoes till now turn. She joins forces with Magneto when there is a threat to the mutant community in the form of a cure. Warren Worthington 2 creates this cure and has some mutants in the belief too, which includes Rogue. The fight ensues when Jean awakens her Dark Phoenix, which has the power to stop anything in her way, including an x-man too.

Avengers Endgame (2019)

After 22 movies and numerous super-characters galore, Marvel brought about an epic conclusion to the series. The film brought together every character introduced by Marvel to the audience to date and punched in the storyline of Guardians of the Galaxy. Together these heroes were off to fight Thanos and undo the damages caused by snapping his fingers wearing the Infinity Gauntlet. While the movie answers Thanos's "I am inevitable" dialogue, it's not just a movie. It is an absolute experience and an engrossing, indefinably satisfying, expressive one. While people may have talked of watching all 22 prequels to understand this one, what united the world were the tears when the audience finally realized that they had to say Goodbye to their beloved Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. The internet has been buzzing ever since, formulating ideas for his return, and that's what makes this movie even more special.
