Trouble in Paradise for Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya?
Michelle Young, who got engaged to Nayte Olukoya on the finale episode of ABC’s The Bachelorette Season 18, was recently spotted without her engagement ring while she was on a rooftop the video has been circulating online and fans have started to speculate if the couple were together or not.
Michelle Young took to her social media to address the rumors of the couple splitting up and mentioned in a video she shared on her social media handle that there is a video of her being on a rooftop and being spotted without her engagement ring. She added that whoever is paying close attention watching that exact moment should also pay close attention to one of her friends briefly removing her engagement ring, trying it on, and then placing it back on her finger.
Michelle Young continued that people should know that she and Nayte Olukoya are human beings and not some zoo exhibit, and she also pointed out that it was not cool of the person who recorded her without her consent and decided to share the video online for the world to see. She called it creepy.
Nayte Olukoya, on his part, also addressed the rumors of the couple breaking up by sharing a video of his own on Tik Tok and saying that 90% of his DMs are filled with questions from people asking him about his current relationship status with Michelle Young, and a few of them said that there is some trouble in paradise. He added that people have been sending him DMs to ask where Michelle Young is, why are they not together, and so much more.
In February, Nayte Olukoya and Michelle Young shared with US Weekly that they are feeling it all out in terms of where to live and when to get married, but Nayte also added that they are mature and understanding people who like to make sure that they are always making a calculative decision and have looked into all the options available to them. Nayte Olukoya also revealed that he has been planning to move to Minnesota and it’s going to happen.
The couple mentioned that they have not decided on the date for the wedding yet because they are talking about it and looking over the fact that their family and friends, which is a large number, they said, can attend the wedding, so a pandemic wedding is not what the couple is looking at.
Michelle Young and Nayte Olukoya revealed that when they are away, like in their states, they are always texting or FaceTiming each other and planning movie nights together on Zoom, and that’s how they have been working things out, but all is good, they said. The couple also shared with People that they have been working and have been successful in strengthening their relationship since they appeared on the show.
Last December, Michelle Young said that she was fortunate enough to grow up in a family with a healthy marriage and she remembered telling herself not to give up until she found her person. Nayte Olukoya was her person. She added that she did not know that she could have loved someone at this level.Their relationship being in the public eye is not easy for them, but Nayte Olukoya mentioned that people are going to say whatever they want to say, but they will not be bothered about them.
During her March 2021 appearance on The Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Michelle Young mentioned that the biggest thing she looks for in someone is if they have that intrinsic motivation adding that she is a very motivated person who has a lot of goals and wants to make an impact.
