Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel have held a long-standing feud now. For years, the two stars kept up a way to poke the other, and now, after an eternity the two have finally called it quits to their fight. The two are now back on friendly terms as Dwayne Johnson even debuted a joke about Vin Diesel and pulled his leg in his new movie Red Notice. The film will also feature Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds

The feuds started back sometime in 2016 when Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson suddenly started posting cryptic posts about each other. The two stars had first worked together in Fast Five in 2011 when Johnson joined the cast as Luke Hobbs. Things were pretty normal until Johnson once again was cast in the Fast and Furious' sixth and seventh films. The former wrestler went to call some members of his cast 'candy asses.'

Of course, people pointed fingers in Diesel's general direction suggesting that The Rock was insulting him and Diesel had been part of the Fast franchise since its very first movie in 2001. Later on, another Instagram poster surfaced, where the Jumanji star went on to thank his Fast castmates by their names. He mentioned Scott Eastwood and Nathalie Emmanuel particularly but left out Vin Diesel.

It was Vin Diesel who actually confirmed that he was the butt of the insults as he too boarded the Instagram Post wagon and said in his video post, "Honestly, give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything." Then Michelle Rodriguez also said that the two stars were having strained times on set but chalked it all up to friendly disagreement.

The actress revealed back in 2016, "Any human being who knows what men are like knows to stay out of those situations and let them figure it out. They’re ‘bros’, man. They’re friends, and ultimately even friends reach a point where they have to set aside their differences to make a movie for multicultural people around the world, and that is the bigger scheme of things.”

Then Tyrese Gibson went on to subtly blame The Rock for the production of the ninth Fast movie and said that the wrestler wanted to make the film about him. His post read: “Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU.” The film was then once again delayed as the pandemic hit.

However, Vin Diesel came forward to defend his crewmate from the accusations and said that it was the film's own "need of maintenance” that required the production to be delayed. Nevertheless, The Rock went on to distance himself from the Fast and Furious franchise and went on to star in his own spinoff of the movie, Hobbs, and Shaw.

And then, about three years from the origin of the OG feud, Johnson thanked his former castmate from the Fast Franchise, Vin Diesel, and gave him the credit for the booming success of his spinoff. In his Thanks speech, the actor said, “Lastly, but not least, want to thank brother Vin for your support of Hobbs & Shaw.” He continued his Instagram post, saying, “I’ll be seeing you soon, Toretto.”

However, around the time when fans realized that all the bad blood was finally behind them, the two stars again picked up the fight right where they left it off. The clash came on again when Diesel said that coming up with the Hobbs character meant "tough love" for him. In a June interview with Men's Health, the actor, aged 54 shared, “That took a lot of work.” He then revealed that the producer specifically had to curate a character that would flow with Johnson's acting style. He added, "We had to get there, and sometimes, at that time, I could give a lot of tough love. Not Fellini-esque, but I would do anything I’d have to do in order to get performances in anything I’m producing."

The remarks didn't go unnoticed by the Central intelligence actor and he later issued that he would not be coming back to the sets of the Fast and Furious film series. The actor went on to say that he "laughed hard" at the remarks of his former crewmate. And still, he also shared that he does regret having shared the OG Instagram post that began the long-standing feud with Vin Diesel.

Talking with Vanity Fair, the Jumanji: The Next Level star said, "I shouldn’t have shared that. Because at the end of the day, that goes against my DNA. I don’t share things like that. And I take care of that kind of bulls—t away from the public. They don’t need to know that. That’s why I say it wasn’t my best day.”

But now, the actors have finally found things to bond over and are not butting heads as usual. While the two actors have left behind the feud, people are still stuck up on the whole mess, and the actors revealed that they are usually pursued by fans asking about their fight. And that has also led to some pretty hilarious jokes for the cast members of the film series.

The Rock recently told at the SiriusXM's The Jess Cagle Show's November 1 episode that "the jokes never end." Apparently, "People were asking me about that, and they find a way," he said referring to the feud and his do-over with his castmate along with his Red Notice jokes. In fact, the two are on such friendly terms that they have started joking about each other's work on their own auditions.

Evidently, Dwayne Johnson jokes about Vin Diesel auditioning for a role in Cats, a musical, in his Netflix movie Red Notice. And when people asked him about the sketch, Johnson cracked up right away. In the Monday episode of the show, Johnson said, "These Vin Diesel jokes — which play great, by the way, to the audience, which is always a good thing because it’s all about them — people think these jokes come from me and they actually don’t." He continued, “You’d be surprised with how many people come to me with, ‘I’ve got a great one. I’ve got another great Vin Diesel joke.’ I’m sure you do. They’re always funny.”
