Turning Red by Pixar is a marvel starring some of the best talents in Hollywood. The film has an admirable cast led by Rosalie Chiang as she voices the main character, followed by Sandra Oh and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan

The Pixar film is one of the many movies by the studio detailing distinctive human emotions, especially when a young teen barely starts feeling new emotions. Turning Red is, hence, a story where a young teen finds herself transforming into a giant red panda whenever her emotions get out of hand.

Rosalie Chiang voices Mei Lee, the main character in lead, who is a newly turned teenage girl. The film has already been accepted well around the globe, and the coming-of-age genera plot is exceptionally innovative yet fascinating.

Not only is Pixar enjoying quite a lot of appreciation for its animation, but also the rest of the cast is reveling in the film's success. Sandra Oh stars in the film as Ming, Mei Lee's mother.

The actresses have been sharing what it was like to be a part of the film, how they feel about their characters, and more. Their interview with Screen Rant lets the audience have a deeper look into their roles and expectations from the film.

Turning Red is the first significant film in Rosalie Chiang's career, and she gets to star in the film with the legendary Sandra Oh. Explaining what it was like to know that she will be getting to work in a Pixar production, the actress shared that her realization about the role came in two parts.

In the beginning, she only knew that she might get to voice some character in the film as the film required any voice to animate their character. She was officially considered for the role.

The part had to come very early to her when she was just 12 years old. She received an email saying she can voice-act in the film, and she was very excited along with her family. A few years into the wait, she got to film in a documentary for Domee Shi

But after they were done with it, the director positively affirmed that they would love to have her in Turning Red to voice the main character, Mei. She recalls the experience to be the most "magical" in her "entire life."

She revealed the news to her dad when she got home, and her father was very happy for the opportunity she was presented with.

Actress Sandra Oh proceeded to share what playing her distinct roles were like throughout the years. She began by talking about her iconic Gupta scene in Princess Diaries way back in the day.

Needless to say, Princess Diaries have been loved around the globe, and people were positively smitten by the Gupta scene. Sandra Oh shared that people constantly bring up the character when they see her.

She exclaimed that she loves when people talk about the scene. She shared that one time when she was walking in Chicago, a young man in university came up to her and performed the entire scene in front of her.

The actress also shared that she had a "great time" filming with Gary Marshall and Julie Andrews. She also revealed that she was free to do the kind of comedy she wanted in the film. Hence, it made her very "happy" and helped her connect with her in a way that they related with her.

Continuing on to the role of 4*Town in Turning Red, Rosalie Chiang talked about the artists or bands that she was always intrigued by and felt drawn towards. Just like any army fan, the actress instantly started gushing about the Korean boy band BTS.

She revealed that she likes everything K-pop, from girl bands to boy bands. She named some of her favorite bands, beginning with TWICE, BLACKPINK, Red Velvet, Dreamcatcher, and STAYC.

Talking about the boy bands she likes, she named BTS, Seventeen, NCT, EXO, and many others. Taking after all the fans of the K-pop industry, the actress shared that she can endlessly talk about her favorite bands and is a big fangirl when it comes to them.

In fact, she also added that she would "fangirl" over the K-pop idols given the chance to meet them. Unlike other civilian fans, Rosalie Chiang might have the chance to meet her idols in her career industry!
