According to sources, a spinoff for the Primetime Emmy Award-winning and Disney Plus' famous series, 'WandaVision' from Marvel Studios featuring Kathryn Hahn, who played 'Agnes' and was subsequently revealed to be 'Agatha Harkness,' a powerful witch, is in the works.

The show's head writer, Jac Schaeffer, signed an overall deal with Marvel Studios, and Disney's 20th Television in May will write down the spin-off. Jac was nominated for best limited or anthology series on the Emmy for writing the first episode and as a member of the show's producing team for her outstanding vision and writing.

'WandaVision,' produced by Chuck Hayward, starring Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda and Paul Bettany as Vision, aired on Disney Plus from January to March and received many praises from fans all over the world, earning the show 23 Emmy nominations. The show was directed by Matt Shakman.

Kathryn Hahn, who plays Agnes, the obnoxious neighbor on the sitcom, is later revealed to be a powerful witch named Agatha. Agatha is proven to have survived the Salem Witch Trials in Marvel Comics and the series finale and is more than a match for Wanda, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch. The song "Agatha All Along," which was used as part of the reveal of Hahn's character from Agnes to Agatha, was one of the show's wins in the best original music and lyrics category.

Kathryn's nomination for an Emmy for best supporting actress in a limited or anthology series came after her character Agnes/Agatha became one of the show's most powerful characters. The spinoff series is touted as a "dark comedy,"  though the specifics of the spinoff are under wraps for the time. The makers and actress are yet to confirm the news.

If Disney and Marvel Studios decide to pursue the spin-off series further, MCU fans will have something to look forward to soon, as they already have several series and show planned. Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Secret Invasion, Ironheart, The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special are on the list of shows to premiere. They are also developing and a series based in Wakanda from Black Panther director Ryan Coogler as a part of MCU programs planned to premiere in the coming time. According to the reports, the second seasons of 'Loki' and 'What If...?,' and a Hawkeye spinoff called Echo is also under development.

Kathryn Hahn, on the other hand, is poised to act in a limited series called 'The Comeback Girl,'  she will play the part of legendary comic Joan Rivers and will also serve as an executive producer. Greg Berlanti, who will also serve as an executive producer, will direct the show. Cosmo Carlson, who is also the executive producer, will write the screenplay for 'The Comeback Girl.'

Joan Rivers died on September 4th, at the age of 81, after she stopped breathing during a routine endoscopy on her throat. Known as a revolving figure in the field of stand-up comedy, particularly as a woman, Rivers began performing in the 1960s. She also began appearing on "The Tonight Show" in the mid-1960s, eventually becoming Johnny Carson's frequent guest presenter on the show in the 1980s.

"The Comeback Girl," a limited series backed by Warner Bros., is mostly set in the aftermath of "The Late Show's" cancellation, which coincided with Rivers' husband (and "Late Show" producer) Edgar Rosenberg's suicide. Kathryn's other planned projects include "The Shrink Next Door," an Apple series, and "Knives Out 2," a Rian Johnson film.
