Morbius has finally made it to the theaters after a long wait time of over two years owing to the pandemic. The film is the Sony Universe's take on another Marvel character after their big win with MCU's Spider-Man. Morbius is one of the Spidey villains, and the character gets its own film.

The film stars Jared Leto in the titular role of Morbius, a biologist who has been looking for a cure to his disease and turns into a vampire along the way. The film was set for a release in 2020 July, even before the screening of Venom: Let There Be Carnage and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Yet, the COVID situation pushed back the release date, forcing the Studio to be content with a late release. The film has now finally hit the theaters after a long wait.

Having been created to screen before Venom, Morbius had a few scenes dedicated as references to the former film's sequel. Another scene at the end of the film, featuring in Post-credits featured Adrian Toomes, played by Michael Keaton. Toomes is also known as the villain Vulture, a high flyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which was earlier seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Now, the character will star in Sony's Marvel Universe.

Looking into the post-credits scenes of Morbius, the effects of the spell by Dr. Strange from Spider-Man: No Way Home can be clearly felt in the Sony film. The film shows Toomes suddenly getting stuck in an empty jail without himself knowing how he ended up there.

The second scene is even more bizarre, showing the character once again magically finding his Vulture suit. From there, he sets on to meet with Morbius. The character figures out the random alterations in their universe have something to do with Spider-Man and is multiverse trekking in Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This marks the second time a character on Sony's Marvel production has talked about a Marvel character. The first time the web-slinger was mentioned on TV was during the ending scenes of Venom: Let There Be Carnage. Toomes and Morbius then come together to wreak some havoc, which they term as doing "some good" and are excited for what that could bring forward.

Sony is now also ready to make another film which will star a Spider-Man villain as the lead of the movie. This time it will be Kraven the Hunter, who is to be played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Known for being brutal and vicious, the hunter looks forward to bringing down the web-slinger.

Now that Sony is already halfway to making villain franchises, fans are also hoping that the Studios would next come up with a Sinister Six installment. However, the director of Morbius, Daniel Espinosa has not revealed much about their movie plans for Sony. He just shared that the Studios does have something planned.

The director, however, did explain the end post-credits scenes in more detail.

Explaining what Vulture and Morbius could be up to, he shared that Sony could go on many paths. The Studio is already basking in the success of its writers and producers who made Venom and then worked on Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse and then succeeded in their attempts.

The movies of Sony origin are now running in parallel timelines, and with the production going on Kraven, it is practically like looking into the future. However, the director said that he does not know much about where the villain will head from thereon.

The most pressing questions of the audience include if there is actually a Spider-Man who exists in the universe of Morbius and Vulture and who could be starred in the role. The director is hopeful that there will soon be answers to these questions.

He also reveals that there actually is a major chance of having a Spider-Man in all possible universes as he acts as a totem in their world. There is a necessity to have a Spider-Man on Earth.

The director then explained that there are usually scenes that the audience gets to see in the trailers, but they don't make it to the final cut of the movie. He opened up about an idea that showed people more connected with each other, but the editing room always has some of the other suggestions, meaning things will be left out in the end.

Yet, many of the Vulture scenes were already filmed during the beginning of the film. Later on, the director changed the ideals that focused on the travel between the different worlds, an idea that Sony can take credit for. They managed to do it well and have been bettering it since then.

The Marvel Universe has always shown the comic books as an ever-expanding universe, but with the film production falling under a different Studio, the rules have started shifting a little. Marvel is now in collaboration and is trying to make it work that way.
