Former basketball player of University of Las Vegas Dylan Gonzalez has accused singer Trey Songz of raping her in Las Vegas.

A statement that was posted on Dylan Gonzalez’s Twitter account on Tuesday read, "With what seems like endlessly reoccurring news of the alleged sexual assaults committed by Trey Songz, I am forced to repeatedly relive in my mind, and suffer anew, the long-suppressed horror and unbearable PTSD of my rape by his very hands at a well known Las Vegas hotel. I want to send my love, strength, and hope to all who are victims of sexual assault and its fatal nature. You are not alone. I stand with you and encourage all those who have suffered abuse to speak out and come forward. Suppression of our voices only emboldens our oppressors, and you cannot heal what you do not reveal. At this time, I humbly request my privacy, consideration and compassion while I fully commit to pursuing the best course of action and all of my legal options.” According to reports, the incident took place nine years ago.

A representative of Trey Songz said, “Trey and his team are confident in the legal process and that there will be an abundance of exonerating information to come over the next few weeks.”

Dylan Gonzalez's lawyers, George Vrabeck and Ariel Mitchell have stated that they will be launching a lawsuit against musician Trey Songz soon and are presently in the process of doing so. George and Ariel also represent Jahaura Jeffries, who went public with her allegations that Trey Songz sexually assaulted her in a Miami nightclub in 2018 and filed a $20 million lawsuit.

In November, last year, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed to People magazine that they have received “a report of a sexual assault incident alleged to have occurred at a hotel in the 3700 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard", which involved Tremaine Neverson who is known as Trey Songz. The police shared with the publication that Trey is cooperating with the investigation and no arrest has been made yet.

Dylan Gonzalez’s attorneys have claimed that the complaint made to Las Vegas Metropolitan Department is not the one from Dylan. In August 2020, a woman who identified herself as Aliza and her friend Celina Powell accused the singer of urinating on her without her consent during an otherwise consensual sexual encounter accused Trey. Trey Songz denied the allegation calling Aliza someone who seeks to destroy someone’s life and also called her accusation ‘convenient’. Aliza shared during the No Jumper podcast, “I got peed on. I didn’t know what was happening, he just did it. He took my phone and my purse away for a whole day and held it over the balcony and was like ‘B—h, if you try and leave, I’m going to drop this sh–. He did the same thing to [Powell]. He just does the same sh–. He’s, like, weird.”

Trey Songz said, “I usually stay quiet on this but I feel that in many ways the movement to fight for the women who actually have suffered harassment and abuse on various levels, has been hijacked by those who find it convenient for themselves to come up as they seek to destroy someone’s life. I brush it off everytime but once you have an allegation no matter it’s true weight in validation, it’s now happened once and to some will be believable from that moment forward. None of that happened.”

Keke Palmer accused the singer of using ‘sexual intimidation' to get her to appear in one of his music video in 2017. She claimed that the singer secretly filmed her and used the shot footage in his video without asking her. Trey replied by taking it to his social media and sharing, "So sorry for those that believe everything without knowing anything. However, I cannot devote my life to responding to, or clearing up every side of every story you hear about me, when would I actually live? I know my character, I know my truth, I know my heart. God does too."

The singer had also turned himself to LAPD on the charges of domestic violence that was reported by a longtime peer Andrea Buera. It was reported that they were at a party when the incident took place but he was released after paying a $50,000 bond.
