Justin Bieber opens up about having an emotional breakdown.
In a conversation with Apple Music’s Ebro Darden, Justin Bieber opened up about how he started to embrace spirituality in his life after he realized that his marriage to Hailey Bieber was not going to automatically solve his problems unless he took ownership of them and worked towards it. Justin explained that embracing and understanding spirituality led to him being in a positive place personally and with his wife.
Justin Bieber shared that it has been a journey and explained that when he got married, he had hit a little bit of an emotional breakdown because, initially, he thought getting married to the love of his life was going to fix all of his problems, but he eventually realized that it wouldn’t. It was just a sort of reflection of, "Man, you’re a bit of a hyprocrite man."
The singer shared that sometimes you want your wife to do something that you’re not doing and it gets hard to look at your reflection in the mirror and realize that you’re not the person you thought you were and that it's all the result of trauma and life circumstances. He probably referred to his struggles with fame, substance abuse, and depression in the past, and Justin Bieber had previously opened up about his struggles and how he coped with them in an emotional letter that he shared on his social media. Hailey Bieber’s recent hospitalization could also be one of the traumas or life circumstances that he referenced. Justin Bieber, in his interview with the Ebro, added that he has always been open and vocal about his faith and his relationship with Jesus, which eventually helped him not be so hard on himself.
The Peaches singer mentioned during the interview that he started to understand that Jesus is walking him through this journey of life day by day and that he needs to stop being hard on himself and try to be better. Justin Bieber hoped that people could also form a relationship with God, which ultimately encourages people to keep moving forward. He focused on people building a strong relationship with God because, as he added, it's a discouraging world out there and sometimes life smacks you in the face and it's hard to get up, so at that time, the strength and courage that comes from God is the only encouraging factor.
Justin Bieber also added that when someone can establish that Jesus is not angry but loving, considerate, and compassionate towards his people, he is the only one who knows what his people go through and wants them to go through that obstacle in life to emerge as the best version of themselves, his perspective changes. The Grammy winning singer and his model wife have been vocal about their struggles as newlyweds and Justin Bieber shared in his interview with GQ 2021 that first year of their marriage was tough because there was lack of trust and they both were sort of adjusting to being married.
Previously, Hailey Bieber during her appearance at 'The Good Faith' podcast also mentioned that there was a point where she almost gave up and stated that she couldn't do it if it's going to be like this forever but later realized that she made a commitment to a person she has loved for a very long time and she was not going to do wrong to him so she stayed and they both worked things out.
The singer is working on his new album but shared no details except that they are wrapping it up and it sounds good. Justin Bieber said that he’s excited about the new music and album that are going to come out soon, along with having cool features. The audience would get to hear from John Mayer, and talking about that, Justin shared that he is someone he has looked up to for a long time, and so they were at Henson the studio, and he was working on a song when John Mayer showed up and asked him if he could go into the booth.
Justin Bieber added that after coming out of the booth, John Mayer played a guitar solo and it was mind-blowing to see him play and sing first-hand, and he added that it was insane.
Justin Bieber, although skipped MET GALA this year but definitely shared his wife Hailey Bieber's picture on his social media in which she can be seen wearing a Saint Laurent gown.
