Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez’s legal battle is on!

According to reports, in a pre-trial hearing which was held on 23rd February 2022, both Megan and Tory took to their social media to exchange the allegations back and forth. Megan Thee Stallion shared texts that she claims prove that Tory Lanez is guilty. Tory Lanez has denied the charges of the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion’s feet in the summer of 2020.

In July of 2020, Megan Thee Stallion was seen getting in a police car with blood on her feet, injuries sustained from broken glass and later it was reported that Tory Lanez was also in the car after he was arrested for possession of an unregistered firearm. She later claimed in a post (now deleted) without mentioning the name that she suffered gunshot wounds to her feet “as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”

Megan revealed during an Instagram live that Tory Lanez had shot her and she did not tell the police that she had been shot because she did not trust the police at that time for protecting her. She said, “Why the fuck would I tell [the police] somebody got a gun in this car and this n—- shot me? So I can get shot, you can get shot, she can get shot, he can get shot?” Tory Lanez denied the allegation and claimed the accuracy of her wound and whether she was shot or not which was later clarified after a medical examination that she was. Tory further claimed that if Megan was shot, “she couldn’t have seen who was shooting if she had been walking away from the car at the time of her injuries.”

Eventually, on October 8th, Tory Lanez was charged under one count of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and one count of carrying an unregistered weapon. As the date of their pre-trial came near, Tory Lanez had been trying to get the lawsuit dismissed ever since it was filed but the charges were upheld by a Los Angeles County judge in December 2021. Before the pre-trial started, podcaster DJ Akademiks shared on his Twitter, “It was revealed in court few moments ago that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case.”

Megan shared the response on the tweet by stating, “Court ain’t even started so why y’all ready to start lying. Yall got breaking news 15 minutes before court started and nobody has even been called in yet??” Tory Lanez’s attorney said, “We are in the process of actually retaining an expert with respect to DNA. It is our hope that we will be able to review and confirm the LAPD’s analysis, which from our standpoint was favorable.”

DJ Akademiks deleted his original tweet but shared another one that read, Tory Lanez trial adjourned til April with Tory’s lawyer telling the court they have completed DNA results from the prosecution which is very pleasing to his client. (I saw this doc myself.. it literally says it was inconclusive in finding TORY DNA on the gun or magazine). Meg gotta call the DA and ask em if its true. i dont know why she up on here taggin me in post like i just be making shit up.” Megan Thee Stallion took the chance to dispel another information related to the case and shared a screenshot of Tory Lanez’s text to her that read, “I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart [sic].”

Tory Lanez went ahead and clarified what the texts were about, “Good D*ck had me fucking 2 best friends… and I got caught … that’s what I appologized 4. … it’s sick how u Spun it tho…” Megan Thee Stallion denied the narrative and shared on her Instagram stories, “You keep putting a narrative out that me and my friend fell out about you and that’s not true! Why are you skipping over the shooting. You think [it’s] okay to shoot me then harass me online and make it like this was some weird cat fight what the actual fuck is wrong with you.”

It has been reported if Tory Lanez is guilty, he could face up to 22 years and eight months in prison.
