9-9-1 Lone Star welcomes many OG stars welcome to the cast of the show this past week and it was a nostalgia fest in full blow. The show recently starred Rob Lowe's younger brother Chad Lowe in the series too.
The series showed Owen going to meet his father, from whom he has been separated for long. Yet, the shock comes when he realizes that he has an actual half-brother. Owen is played by Rob Lowe while the half-brother is played by Chad Lowe. The father is portrayed by Robert Pine.
This was the first time that Rob and Chad got to spend together as actors on the screens, thanks to the Fox drama. Chad has also played another part where he had connected with Robert Pine, his now on-screen father.
The two shared on-screen time some 30 years ago. Even then Robert Pine played Chad's father on screen. Coming back to the show and playing a similar role felt nice, said Chad when talking with EW. The actors did great with their similar acting history hanging between them.
Chad shared that he was excited to play out that history with Robert once again. He also mentioned that playing the part for the second time made him feel like it was the best moment of his career. On the other hand, playing a brotherly character to his real brother was not a big stretch and he managed it just fine.
Acting required him to put genuine intimacy into his role, making sure that the actors focus only on each other and play the part with the other in sight. Playing the part with his brother was easier as they are already related.
He didn't have to put in much work as he could simply look at his brother, remember all their history and channel that into his acting skill. They shared such a deep bond that the acting flowed naturally for that part.
Needless to say, Rob Lowe is a great actor and has phenomenal skill and talent. Chad shared that Rob is one of the best actors he ever worked with, besides the fact that he is his brother.
The series had a great reunion starring some of the nostalgic actors but Lowe will now be stepping down as an actor from the show. However, he will be a part of the show as he is a director of the series. The actors had directed the first two episodes of the series earlier and are now also gaining credits for more directorial work with 9-1-1.
The series features a lot of twists and turns. The actor teased that there will be an "unexpected romance" featuring in the show, while humor and fun always run high in the series. Even more beautiful is the fact that Judd and Wyatt continue to be friends.
Their storyline is continuing to expand in the series, along with their relationship also evolving and developing by the day. It is lovely to see those two still stick so close to each other. Judd is extremely responsible. He makes sure that he comes as a father figure to Wyatt.
Still, there are things that will take a turn and the series will come to the finale with an interesting conclusion. Of course, the mysteries run so high in 9-1-1 Lone Star that you would be compelled to come and check the next episode to see what happens after the episode finale.
Lowe is working behind the scenes for the series and has interesting insight about the next season of the show. However, he was not directing the immediate next seasons of the show. The show has been in simultaneous production and new episodes are being created each day.
The actor and director of the series shared that he will not give any spoilers to the series, but he shared that the things will take off and reach really high grounds considering where things are heading with the finale. Of course, the finale will be a sight to behold!
It would be interesting to see where things are headed with 9-1-1 Lone Star, Chad Lowe, his brother, and Robert Pine.
