Megan's debut feature film is going to be directed by Larry Charles.

Megan Thee Stallion told to The Hollywood Reporter, “I definitely want to be an actress, but I also really want to be a director. I love movies and I’m definitely a film buff. I like to create. Not only do I like to write music, I like to write stories. I definitely want to see these stories come to life.” The musician also shared that she is going crazy over HBO Max’s ‘Euphoria’.Megan added, “They got me on the edge of my seat. They got me wanting to cry, wanting to scream and everybody is giving the best performances right now on Euphoria. Megan went ahead and praised the actress Zendaya for portraying Rue Bennett on-screen stating, “I know her and she’s so good, so sweet, and when I watched her for the first time on Euphoria, I was like, ‘Who is this? You don’t do this.’ But she’s the best actress, and perfectly cast.” In December, Netflix confirmed that Megan Thee Stallion had signed a first-look pact, and about that she said at the time, “I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix. Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur, and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

It was recently reported that Megan Thee Stallion has filed a new lawsuit against her record label, ‘1501 Certified Entertainment’ in Harris County District Court, in which she claims that her record label is trying to take further advantage of the rapper by refusing to acknowledge her recent, ‘Something For Thee Hotties’ compilation as an album. Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers said in writing while filing the case, “1501’s new position, taken months after the album’s release, is a ruse to try to take further advantage of Pete, at great expense and not in good faith.”

In her lawsuit, Megan claims that ‘Something for Thee Hotties’, clearly meets the definition of an ‘Album’, under the recording agreement as it has a total runtime of 45:02. But attorney, Steven M. Zager representing 1501 Certified Entertainment has denied the allegations and told Billboard, “She can’t just deliver us an album that we did not approve and then claim it satisfies her recording contract. It doesn’t, and the contract is pretty clear about that. I’ll be interested to hear what they have to say when they’re under oath.”

In 2020, Megan Thee Stallion filed a lawsuit against the record label claiming that they were blocking her from releasing new music because she wanted to renegotiate the terms of her contract. She went live on Instagram and shared, "When I signed, I didn't really know what was in my contract. I was young. I think I was like 20, and I ain't know everything that was in my contract." She was granted a temporary restraining order against the label and went ahead to release, ‘Suga’ EP against the record label’s wish.

1501 CEO Carl Crawford took to the official social media account of the record label to share a picture of the headline that read that Megan Thee Stallion has filed a request to dismiss a lawsuit against the label and he captioned it, “Now tell em to run my bread dating all the way back from 2018.” The rapper hit back at the record label pointing out that the headline that he shared was about the previous lawsuit, which was about the label preventing her from releasing her music. She wrote in a post (now deleted), “We are most definitely STILL IN COURT and YOU STILL GETTING SUED BC YOU OWE ME MONEY. I AINT NEVER BEEN PAID FROM 1501 IN MY LIFE.”

Megan Thee Stallion took to her social media story to share, “This mf got my accomplishments in that bio and aint contributed to shit since 2018. Not studio time, not a music video not a word of encouragement, shit not even a flight!!! But you trying to eat off me and pick with me online”.
