Trevor Noah, who was recently attacked by Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West on social media for a racial slur, has replied with the utmost compassion.

The Daily Show host, Trevor Noah, took to his show to discuss the ongoing legal battle and social media battle among Kim Kardashian, Pete Davidson, and Kanye West. He said that some stories are meant for tabloids, others are purely sports, but some stories are meant for larger conversations.

Trevor shared that Kanye West’s ongoing public harassment towards Kim Kardashian and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, is too much to witness and that people should learn something from this. He later narrowed down the entire scenario, starting by stating that the story that started just for the tabloids has started to creep into the world where people need to pay more attention to it, understand the behavior, and take steps to stop it.

Kanye West, who is trying to win his wife back, has been doing exactly the opposite of what someone would do if they wanted to win their wife back. He has accused Kim of breaking their family and dating Pete Davidson for their new show, for stopping him from meeting their kids, and not being considerate towards their joint custody settlement. He also attacked Pete Davidson on social media by dropping a video titled "Eazy" in which the audience can witness Kanye burying Pete live. Kanye West has also released/posted a couple of text exchange between him and Kim and him and Pete after which Kim Kardashian begged him to stop making things public.

Trevor mentioned that he understands that art is a form of therapy, but therapy is therapy, and you should get help when needed insinuating that Kanye West should seek help. The host added that he understands that people might not feel sorry or emphatic towards Kim Kardashian because she is rich and famous, but what she is going through is terrifying to witness and it showcases what so many women in the world go through when they try to leave their toxic partner.

Trevor added and reminded her that what is happening with Kim Kardashian right now happens with a lot of women in the world and if a powerful woman like her cannot escape it, what are the chances that normal women do? Noah added that Kim is helpless right now because since Kanye West has not broken any laws, she cannot get him arrested and she spends half her time helping black people come out of jail, so now she can’t get her ex-husband in but she is getting harassed. He added that Kanye West is not a bad guy, but maybe as a society, we all need to ask ourselves these questions.

At one point, Trevor Noah compared the Kimye situation to his own, explaining that he was raised in an abusive household, and people used to tell his mother that she was ‘over-reacting’ until she was shot in the head by his step-father after their divorce. Luckily, Trevor’s mother survived the attack.

Kanye West did not like what Trevor Noah said about his relationship status and went ahead and commented on Trevor Noah’s post using a racial slur that referred to Trevor as "K---n". After that, Meta suspended Kanye West’s account for 24 hours, stating that his account had violated their policies.

Trevor Noah, on the other hand, had a little different approach towards handling the matter as he went ahead and praised the rapper by reminding him how much his music and art had affected his life. Trevor wrote that he thinks about how he spent his money differently because of Kanye, how much he learned to protect his creativity from growing thoughts because of Kanye, and how he still smiles every time he buckles his seatbelt because of Kanye.

The host confessed that Kanye West has been an indelible part of his life and it breaks his heart to see him like this. He added that he does not care if he supports Donald Trump or roasts Pete Davidson, but he cares about the path he is walking down, which leads to peril and pain.

Trevor mentioned in his post that Kanye West needs to understand the difference between fighting for his family and fighting with his family. They are two separate things, and the latter usually ends up in a tragedy. Trevor Noah sounded concerned and alarmed as he added that he wakes up to horrific news of men killing their ex-girlfriends, kids, and then themselves, and he’d never want any such thing to happen to him.

Acknowledging the racial slur Kanye West used, Trevor Noah, reminded the rapper that the biggest trick racists ever played on black people were teaching them how to strip each other down of their blackness when they disagreed. He also added that some people have graduated but some are still stupid.

According to Variety, Kanye West has been pulled from the Grammy’s performance lineup due to his recent social media activity and his use of racial slurs towards Trevor Noah, who is confirmed to host the ceremony. It was also reported that since Kanye West hired a new lawyer, his only concern is to provide the best for his kids and get the divorce proceedings fast-paced, but his constant attacks on Kim Kardashian and other celebrities related to Pete Davidson or someone who speaks against him does not add up to his wish to fast-pace the divorce.
