Having a public relationship is not an easy task. Celebrities have always maintained a lot of appeal and charm, meaning that people like looking through the lines and reading a bit too much into situations. This means not much can stay private, and the audience tries skimming rumors with no base at all.

The same can be said for the relationship of Michelle Young and her fiance, Nayte Olukoya. The latest Bachelorette season's final episode showed the young lady choosing Nayte to be her final winner from her group of suitors. While she had sent many contestants home in these previous few weeks of the season, the last one to leave was Brandon Jones. Notably, Nayte Olukoya was the first person to receive a rose from Michelle as he won the first impression title in the season beginning.

Hence, it is safe to say that Michelle always knew who was going to be the final person standing beside her when she drew her show for a close. But while the TV personality has gotten her person from the series, not many people are convinced with her choice. Many fans have already stated that Nayte comes along with too many 'red flags.' The Bachelor Nation fans have a bit too much to say about the latest bachelorette's fiance, but luckily enough, Michelle is very confident in her choice of final suitor.

Michelle Young cleared it all as she revealed that her experience with her suitors is much more than just the 28 episodes the audience gets to see from the show. She started, “Obviously, there’s this entire journey, and then it’s compacted into episodes.”

In her Wednesday, December 22, episode of "Here for the Right Reasons podcast with Us Weekly, she said, “While filming the show you do have a little bit of this background information, and you are there, and it’s just more of this thing where you kind of understand, regardless of what you choose or the decisions you make, you’re not gonna be able to please everybody. And that’s part of dating in the public eye.”

Many fans were not convinced and labeled the fiance, Nayte, aged 27, as cocky and wondered if he would even propose to the lady. Social media was particularly filled with rumors saying that Nayte was not ready for the commitment.

Talking about the paradox that the audience presented her, Michelle said, “This man was not really smooth with his words, but if he was smooth with his words, then it’s a red flag because he is, you know, a smooth talker.” She continued, “It is what it is. And as long as you understand that and as long as Nayte knows that I understand him, we’ve learned how to communicate. We will continue to learn how to communicate. And our families and our close friends know exactly who we are. Going into that, I think that’s just kind of what I choose to focus on.”

While it was predominantly Michelle's decision to make, being the lead lady of the show, Nayte also told Us that it is “a little annoying” to face contestant criticism from their fans. But the two have seemingly found the trick to filter out hate and do what they are supposed to do.

The star added, “At the end of the day, it is just noise. It is just fluff. … I know who I am. Michelle knows who I am. Michelle was able to see me for me so early on. And that’s really all that matters.”

Saying that he has always tried his best at communicating what he felt, he continued, “If you think that I’m just saying things to say things, I mean that’s your opinion. I know that what I was saying was me just doing my best at trying to explain what was going on inside with all these new feelings, amazing feelings and exciting feelings. Maybe I’m not the best at expressing myself, but Michelle got the point, so that’s what matters.”

But apparently, it was not just the audience that thought that the way Nayte communicated seems like 'red flags,' but the latest The Bachelor lead had also said that he thought Nayte to be an "actor." The Bachelor had said it during the trailer feature of the season, but the specific scene was later not aired during the episodes.

“I don’t think we know what happened,” Michelle said when asked about the scene. “We have just as much information as everybody else.” And Nayte added, “I’m not sure who he was talking to, I’ll put it that way.”

There seems to be quite a confusion when the fandom talks about the communication skills of Nayte Olukoya. While many have labeled his attempts at expressing himself to Michelle as a bout of acting, others tried pointing out that he has never been open with Michelle. Regardless, until the two have worked out what kind of communication works the best for two, the couple can continue to spend a great time with each other. They have already been engaged for two months now!
