Be ready to witness a whole another level of critical arguments as And Just Like That is renewed for a second season. The series based on Sex and the City was long in demand, yet the film was a part of heated conversations each day on the internet. The series will now be coming back for season 2 on HBO Max. 

Sex and the City was one of the most talked-about shows in the late 1980s. Having run through its 6 seasons, the audience soon demanded the series come back. It later made an appearance as a film in 2010. 

Now, a decade later, the intrigue of the series is just as high, and people were eager to watch the spinoff series on the show. Hence, originated And Just Like That. The series came more than a decade later to the film sequel but was received with high entryism.

And Just Like That ran the course of its first season this year on February 3. The season just ended for a formal end to its first run of episodes. If anything the series could continue forever as And Just Like that made history by becoming the most successful original series until now for HBO and HBO Max. 

It was revealed by Michael Patrick King, the showrunner for the series, and Sarah Jessica Parker, the executive producer on And Just Like That that they would like to continue on with the series. 

In an interview, Michael Patrick King shared that creating And Just Like That was not an easy thing to do. In its essence, they had taken something old, in this case, the familiarity of Sex and the City, and transformed it into the narrative of a news series, And Just Like That. 

Before the official announcement of the second season of the show, Sarah Jessica Parker had divulged that the creators of the series were in talks about bringing forward another season for the show. Yet, it depended on the "momentum" of the events regarding when the series' second season would be released. 

Not to mention, there is still a lot the film could explore in the times to come. Though the ending of Season 1 was satisfying enough, there are many stories left from the initial season's finale. Hence, there will be a lot of stories to unearth in the future. 

Fans are the most excited to know about Carrie's new podcast, which is also named Sex and the City. The lady is also on the verge of finding a great partner as another probable romantic prospect enters her life. The new love interest in Franklin, played by Ivan Hernandez. 

Now that we know the series will be soon in making for its next season, HBO Max has confirmed the news with an official announcement. They also stated that the series will star Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis in returning roles. 

Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon also work as the executive producers on And Just Like That. 

Michael Patrick King shared his happiness upon the revival of the series recently with his fans. He exclaimed that he is very "delighted and excited" to share that the characters of And Just Like that will be coming back to TV screens with more stories to share and more color to fill in their audience's life. 

He appreciated the stars of the series calling them "amazing" and "powerful," and explained that the entire cast is happy to be back. He wrote: "And Just Like That … our Sex life is back.”

HBO Max is also delighted to welcome their best performing series of all time. The head of original content at HBO Max. Sarah Aubrey shared in a statement that they are very happy to see the cultural awareness brought forward by the woke conversations in And Just Like That. 

The plot and the roles portrayed in the film have been particularly created to fill the famous world of Sex and the City which is beloved by countless fans. The Studio is grateful for having the experience to work with Michael Patrick King. 

She also said a few kind words for the crew of the series as she said that she is proud of the work put into the series by the writers of And Just Like That along with their producers, cast, and crew. The team has worked relentlessly to bring forward the amazing stories of the spinoff series to the TV screens. 

Now, they will all come back together to add similar magic into the narration of the Second Season of And Just Like That. 

The show is also executively produced by Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, and John Melfi. The original series on which the spin-off narrative of And Just Like That is based is Sex and City.

The series aired from 1998 to 2004. Created by Darren Star, Sex and the City was originally a book written by Candace Bushnell, later giving rise to the show.
