Clayton Echard and Susie Evans’ messy breakup is the talk of the internet right now, but do you know what exactly happened?

On Tuesday’s episode of The Bachelor, the audience saw a messy breakup between Susie Evans and Clayton Echard as she decided to walk away from the show as she struggled with the idea of Clayton being intimate with the other two finalists in the Fantasy Suites.

Clayton Echard, ahead of the finale, admitted to the cameras that he might be falling in love with all three (Susie, Gabby, and Rachel) of the finalists and might already be in love with Susie. He stated that he had no idea how he could fall for multiple women at the same time, but it was his time to let his walls down and quit being so guarded about his feelings.

Until dinner, Susie kept all of her thoughts to herself, but after Clayton admitted that he was in love with her, Susie requested some clarity about his intimacy and feelings towards the other finalists and mentioned that those are the few things she would not be able to move on from towards the engagement and if she has to share the love of her life with someone else, she’s not okay with it. She said that she needed to get to the bottom of everything and needed to know the truth to make up her mind.

Listening to all of this, the Bachelor was surely taken aback, but he was honest and adamant about what he believed in and shared with Susie that she asked him to explore the relationship. Clayton admits to having slept with someone else in the house and has expressed feelings for someone else with whom he may have fallen in love. He also clarified that he had really strong feelings for her and felt that this could be it for him. Clayton went ahead and asked her if she had a reservation about him getting intimate with someone else. Then why didn’t she bring it up before and wait until the end?

Clayton said that if he had known that this was a dealbreaker for her, he would have approached things differently and later apologized for his actions, clarifying that he did not want to throw away something so special. Listening to his confession, Susie decided to walk away and said that she couldn’t do this anymore.

The pair did reunite to have one last conversation, and Clayton tried to explain things to her and said that he was still fighting because he was trying to convince her, but Susie added that she felt shitty and Clayton Echard continued that within seconds, she invalidated whatever the duo had. The former footballer shared that if she cared about him so much and thought that he was the one, then she would have worked it through with him.

The Bachelor concluded that it felt like he did not know her anymore and escorted her to the car. Susie apologized to Clayton for causing so much pain and said that she never intended to hurt him. She said that she should have brought the conversation about what sex means to her, but she didn’t know that he felt so strongly for her. Clayton Echard also apologized to her for all the things that he that might have hurt her.
