Had a movie marathon watching your old Hollywood favorites in the holiday season and want to know where the beloved cast of the most epic movie, Titanic, is now? Look no further. Here is everything you need to know about the relationship of the two legendary actors from the Oscar winner and cinematic masterpiece!

Both Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet went on to receive immense recognition, critical acclaim, and fandom from their portrayal of two star-crossed lovers in the ocean-based film. They went on to portray a myriad of characters and became two of the most celebrated actors to ever grace the screens of Hollywood. Having a long list of film credits to their names, the co-stars have always kept in touch with each other and still continue to be the best of friends, decades later.

While they did not appear on the screen together quite frequently after their initial casting together in Titanic, the two stars have had many reunions, and each is better than the last one. Just recently, DiCaprio and Winslet met each other after a long duration of three years, and the two could not be happier. In fact, the actress could not stop crying when she got to reunite with her old friend.

In numerous interviews, both Kate and Leo have stated that the other will always have a special spot in their heart. Kate herself had once revealed that she will forever love the Oscar winner and that the two had "bonded for life" when they first appeared together on the sets of Titanic. Needless to say, they continue to be the greatest of friends and will never let their separation or time duration come between the love for each other.

Titanic had been released more than 24 years from today, and as anyone would expect from a film of its caliber, the movie went on to sweep box office records and set a new benchmark for films to release in the coming century. There still has not been a film as moving and heart-wrenching as Titanic, and it makes sense why the two actors continue to keep in touch, given the one amazing ride they had while starring as the lead characters in the film.

Kate Winslet recently appeared in an interview with The Guardian this Wednesday on December 23. She talked about how it had been three long years since she last met Leonardo DeCaprio, aged 47, and how the pandemic had restricted their otherwise regular meetups. Notably, the actress revealed that she had broken down when she met her former cast member after the long estrangement and apparently could not stop crying.

She conceded with the magazine, "I couldn't stop crying," and added the two have known each other for a large fraction of their lives, stating, "I've known him for half my life!"

The iconic actress who portrayed the character of Rose in Titanic said, "It's not as if I've found myself in New York or he's been in London, and there's been a chance to have dinner or grab a coffee and a catchup."

She also drew attention to the fact that the masses are stuck at their homes and are away from their loved ones, as she continued, "We haven't been able to leave our countries. Like so many friendships globally, we've missed each other because of COVID." Then she proceeded to claim Leo as a "really close friend" before adding, "We're bonded for life."

The two had first met each other on the sets of Titanic back in the '90s and then again went on to star together in the film Revolutionary Road, which premiered in 2008. The film portrayed the acting couple as a husband and wife, who were facing problems in their marriage.

The actress shared how she reached the Hallmark age of 21 while working on the film, and just a year older, Leo also celebrated his 22nd while still on the film. She recalled, "I turned 21 on that shoot, and Leo turned 22." The film was not necessarily all fun and games, as the actress revealed, "It wasn't pleasant for any of us, but we were all in it together."

The legendary work of cinema demanded long working hours and a particularly strict time while filming, and, in turn, the actress revealed that the Wolf of Wall Street actor "had way more days off than I ever bloody did."

"I guess I was raised to be grateful and just get on with it. I didn't feel it was my right to be miserable, and if I was miserable, I certainly would not have let a journalist know," she added. "There is no way I would have let that slip!"

The actress is still living up to her legendary status and just won an Emmy award this year for her acting in the TV series, The Mare of Easttown. She has continued on to better things, but like all things good, the two actors still enjoy looking back in time and nostalgically retell their Titanic experiences.

Talking with Glamour U.K. in a 2017 interview about her time from the film, she said, "You don't even want to know the last conversation we had because it was so funny and made me laugh so much."She added, "Sometimes we do quote the odd Titanic line back and forth to each other because only we can, and we find it really funny."
