‘Kissing Booth’ actress Joey King has announced that she and her boyfriend Steven Piet are engaged!
Actress Joey King revealed on her social media that her boyfriend of three years, Steven Piet is now engaged. Technically Steven proposed to Joey last month and she felt like sharing the news with her fans. She wrote on her Instagram, "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can't help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy. I never knew that a person’s presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you." Joey King added to her post that technically Steven Piet proposed to her on the magical date of 2/2/22 and made her the luckiest girl in the world.
The actress made sure to add that the caption of the post cannot justify the love and happiness she feels right now but all she wants to say is the fact that she'd love to hang out with Steven for the rest of her life and it sounds like a dream for her.
Steven Piet also shared the pictures of the couple and captioned, “The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. A lifetime of incredibly safe and vulnerable conversations. Holding hands on silent cab rides home, exhausted from great food and red wine. And oh, the laughter. The uncontrollable laughter. You’ve unlocked a dimension of love in me that I never knew existed.”
The Kissing Booth actress and co-executive producer of Hulu’s miniseries, ‘The Act’ started seeing each other in 2019 and went Insta official after the couple stepped out for a fun evening at a Cinespia’s screening of ‘Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets’ in Los Angeles. The couple has been vocal and not very much private about their relationship as they often share cheeky pictures of the two on their social media.
Brooklyn-based Jewelry Company Mociun reportedly designed talking about the stunning engagement ring that Joey King showcased off on her social media. Olivia Landau, founder, and CEO of The Clear Cut shared with US Magazine, “the ring appears to be an elongated oval diamond set east-west on a gold band with a single epaulette and baguette stones on one side.” The cost of the ring was reported as approximately around $20,000 to $30,000.
Joey King who dated her Kissing Booth star Jacob Elordi before the two decided to call it quits in the middle of 2018 shared with Entertainment Tonight in 2020 that we live in a world where people are interested to know what the other person is doing or what is their business and this kind of doubles up when you're a celebrity. She points out that she finds it amusing that people feel like the celebrities kind of owe them an explanation about something they're going through like a breakup in her case but she understands them but still it kinds of amuses her. Joey further added, “For me, I’ve publicly gone through some things, privately gone through some things, it’s all about finding your balance, finding what makes you comfortable. And it can be brutal, but you know happy endings do come to those who are patient.”

Actress Lana Condor who also recently got engaged herself wrote on Joey King’s post, “AHHHH!!! CONGRATULATIONS ANGEL!!! IM SCREAMING.” Sabrina Carpenter who is Joey’s best friend joked and wrote, “Still getting used to our open relationship but really happy for you guys.”
