The latest Thor character in Thor: Love and Thunder have been finally revealed!!

It is time to once again don your full superhero battle regalia because Thor: Love and Thunder will be once again coming to your screens soon enough. The film has now finally dropped its first trailer giving a little insight into the action of the story.

The film is expected to release on July 8 and hence fans had been waiting for the trailer impatiently for some time now. The film stars the iconic Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth, who will once again reprise his role as the Norse god of thunder. The film is all set to feature a few other familiar faces from the old Thor films.

Yet, there will be one new character and addition to the star cast that has everyone really excited!

The latest film will be a look into the confused mindset of Thor as he wishes to resign from his godly duties and give away his warrior status following the destruction he saw in Avengers: Endgame. The film also features a debut appearance by the Guardians of the Galaxy who will once again join the thickest of the battles and help Thor.

The story is expected to start right off from where things ended back in Avengers: Endgame. Thor will be seen trying to find his peace after losing Asgard and the rest of the events that had occurred after The Snap. He will travel across space with the Guardians, which will also include Peter Quill by Chris Pratt.

Now, it looks like Thor will finally be able to find some happiness and peace of mind as he decided that he will not indulge in fights for his own welfare. Yet, things have an uncanny way to turn bad at the worst of the time and there is no chance the god will be able to stay away from the thickest of the battle.

The trailer reveals that Tessa Thompson will be coming back as Valkyrie, where she donned a suit and looks exactly like her character from Men in Black: International. She had also starred in the film with Chris Hemsworth.

The trailer also shows a little peek of Mt. Olympus, the seat of the power of the Greek gods, who have also decided to join the foray. The film has also cast Russel Crowe as the king of Greek Gods, Zeus. There is presently no insight into what type of role he will play in the film.

Apart from all the new exciting additions to the film, the biggest addition is that of Natalie Portman. Portman will make a return to the world of Marvel after her last appearance in Thor: The Dark World, but this time she will not be the regular Jane Foster shown in the earlier film.

Natalie Portman is now officially the Lady Thor and is ready to pick the hammer alongside her male counterpart, Hemsworth's Thor. Her outfit is made complete with a similar hammer as Thor, which is made from the original hammer smashed by Thor's sister Hela, played by Cate Blanchett, in Thor: Ragnarok.

The film is to be directed by Taiki Waititi, who is getting a second chance at directing the Thor franchise after his original massive hit with Thor: Ragnarok back in 2017. The film will also star Krog, the loveable sidekick to Thor who is actually a very amiable rock creature, who was also seen in Avengers: Endgame.

There is still a lot left to know about the character of Lady Thor and presently no knowledge about how she will play into the plot arc of the film. But one thing is certain, the latest Thor movie is set to be one of the best of its name.

Others to star in Thor: Love and Thunder are Christian Bale, Dave Bautista, and Pom Klementieff. Thor has now become the first film in Marvel that will get the fourth film in the franchise, and characters even like Iron Man and Steve Rogers did not achieve that honor.

In the last film that Thor starred in, the god was seen trying to save the world from the blast of The Snap as he paired with Guardians of the Galaxy in Avengers: Endgame. His latest film is also going to star many actors and heroes from the Marvel universe. It would be amazing to see how all of these phenomenal characters are put into use in Thor: Love and Thunder.

The trailer release of Thor comes only three months before the release of the film, making it the shortest ever time interval between a Marvel film and its trailer. The last film to hold the record was The Incredible Hulk, which featured a 93 days gap between the release of the film and the trailer.

The Marvel Studios also seem to be quite busy at the moment with hit releases like Moon Knight, and the coming releases of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ms. Marvel.
