Things are getting ugly for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

According to the reports, things are getting ugly and messy for the famous former couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who continue to battle over properties and other details of their divorce.

According to court papers obtained by HollywoodLife, Brad Pitt's team filed legal files in Los Angeles on Friday accusing his ex-wife Angelina Jolie of attempting to intentionally hurt him by secretly selling her half of his French Vineyard to a Russian entrepreneur, Yuri Shefler.

According to the documents, Brad Pitt has stated that Angelina Jolie wants complete control of their multimillion-dollar vineyard, Chateau Miraval, even though she has no financial stake in it. Angelina Jolie sold a piece of her prospering company to a company led by Yuri Shefler, the Russian vodka brand Stolichnaya's owner. The Stoli brand has become a worldwide liability, according to the newspapers, because Yuri Shefler attempted to disassociate himself from Russian President Vladimir Putin and his regime, citing Putin's destructive invasion of Ukraine.

In 2014, the former couple tied the knot in front of their children at the Chateau Miraval winery in the South of France, and the Chateau went on to become Brad Pitt's passion as well as one of the world's most well-known rose winemakers. Quimicum owns Miraval, a corporation in which Brad Pitt had a 60 percent stake through his company Mondo Bongo and Angelina Jolie had a 40% stake through her company Nouvel. Brad Pitt gave 10% of his Quimicum stake to Nouvel three years before the couple split up, resulting in a 50-50 split.

Angelina Jolie claimed to sell her investment in Miraval to Tenute del Mondo, a hostile third-party adversary set on obtaining control of Miraval, which Brad Pitt was astonished to find was a subsidiary of Yuri Shefler's vodka corporation, Stoli Group, in October 2021, and things became unpleasant for the couple. She was although given approval to sell her stake in September 2021.

Angelina Jolie sought and then completed the sale of her portion of the French Vineyard in secret, keeping Brad Pitt in the dark, and willfully violating the actor's contractual rights, according to documents filed by Brad Pitt's attorney. Angelina Jolie attempted to hurt Brad Pitt by selling her stake without his knowledge, according to the filings and mentioned that the actress wanted to capture income she didn't make and returns on investments she didn't make by selling her part without his knowledge.

The statement from Brad Pitt’s attorney continued that the actress was well aware that after she’d sold her share, Yuri Shefler and his affiliates would try to control the business Brad Pitt had put in a lot of work to build and undermine his investments in Miraval. The attorney added that just like Angelina Jolie envisioned, Yuri Shefler did exactly that. The documents mentioned that Yuri Shefler has earned renown via ruthless commercial techniques and shady professional ties and his association with Brad Pitt endangers the brand Bard Pitt has worked so hard to build and mentioned that all of this is a direct outcome of Angelina Jolie's illegal and tortious behavior.

The court documents lay out that Angelina Jolie sought to force Brad Pitt into a partnership with a stranger, and worse yet, a stranger with poisonous associations and intentions, which is a violation of the parties’ agreement. The sale goes against a deal they struck when they initially started working together on the 1000-acre estate they bought in 2008. The former couple had agreed that if she opted to sell, actor Brad Pitt would get the first refusal to buy her share first, and the judge would be notified.

Brad Pitt was also said to have developed a highly successful family-owned firm via major financial commitment and years of sweat effort, even though the actress had not returned to Miraval since her divorce in 2016. According to Brad Pitt's lawsuit back in February, he claimed that per the terms of their divorce, which was finalized in 2019, the couple had a mutual understanding that neither of them could sell off their interest in the winery without the other's consent.

Brad Pitt has filed two claims of breach of contract, violation of good faith, and tortious interference with contractual relations against Angelina Jolie, Yuri Shefler, Oliynik, SPI Group, and Tenute del Mundo. A jury trial is being sought by the actor and claim that the sale made by Angelina Jolie to be declared as null and void.

Now, a source close to Angelina Jolie has stated that Brad Pitt’s accusations against Angelina Jolie are sending out a false narrative to the public. The insider revealed to People magazine that Brad Pitt’s lawsuit against his ex-wife is an extension of a false narrative and the truth of the situation has not been revealed. The source added that after the divorce, Angelina Jolie and the kids did not return to the property, and she later decided to sell her stake in the business.

The insider revealed that the actress had made multiple offers to Brad Pitt, and knowing that their kids would inherit the business, Angelina Jolie found a business partner with experience in the alcohol industry and added that it’s very sad and disappointing to see that after the actress left the business properly and legally, Brad Pitt is entangling her in lawsuits.

However, a source close to Brad Pitt said that it does not make sense that Angelina Jolie would sell her stake to a third party rather than to Brad Pitt because the best way to retain value for the family would have been for one of the parents to retain the ownership. The source added that Brad Pitt could have bought her out since there is a lot more value than holding up a 100% share compared to 40 to 50.
