Singer Charlie Puth recently shared a video on his TikTok where he got emotional about the upcoming song as he recalled the worst breakup of his life.
Charlie Puth shared a video on TikTok saying that his upcoming song "That’s Hilarious" is inspired by the worst breakup of his life that happened in 2019. He adds that he is excited for everyone to hear the new song, but every time he listens to it, he goes back in time, which was very challenging and heartbreaking for him.
The singer, who is known for making funny videos, added that he is not someone who would make videos like these (himself crying), but he is someone who would make a video about what if there was a sound like this?
The singer, without taking anyone’s name, said that he has grown since the breakup and is doing better, but the song somehow reminds him of the relationship he had, and it kind of makes it hard for him to keep going. He said that he had never really talked about what had happened to him or the feelings and emotions he went through at the time, but he was just going through it.
Charlie Puth described the relationship as the worst and added that he wants to throw the feelings, memories, and the entire relationship under the carpet and start over by surrounding himself with people who are good for his mental health and are inspiring. The singer added that "That’s Hilarious," which is going to be released in April, is the hardest song he has had to put up and he is excited for the fans to hear it.
Although Charlie Puth did not mention who was responsible for the worst breakup of his life, reports have suggested that it could be a singer-songwriter, Charlotte Lawrence. Before Charlotte, Charlie was linked to Selena Gomez and Halston Sage.

He continued by explaining that he has been in lust and that’s not the same thing, but he is unaware of why he can’t bring himself there and love someone.
