Olivia Wilde and ex-partner Jason Sudeikis have shared a joint statement after their former nanny, who took care of their children, Otis and Daisy, delivered a series of comments about the former couple in an interview with the Daily Mail.
In an interview, the woman who spoke anonymously claimed that Jason Sudeikis discovered that Olivia Wilde had kissed Harry Styles in Palm Springs while the duo was filming "Don’t Worry, Darling." The nanny shared that Jason Sudeikis found the emails between Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles on her old Apple Watch. She also mentioned that the actor was really upset after he found out that Olivia had moved on with Harry Styles and that he had tried to stop her from seeing him by lying underneath her car.
The nanny said during the interview that Jason Sudeikis was crying a lot when she came back from her weekend off on November 9th and she had no idea what had happened. She continued that after she got the kids ready, Jason came upstairs and kept saying that Olivia had left them while he kept crying and was a mess. She added that he was just out of control crying and she did not know what to say, and he said that he was going to get her back and he loved her. The nanny said that Jason Sudeikis' heart was broken at that moment, and she felt sorry for him.
The nanny claimed that things came to a head when Jason Sudeikis allegedly fired the childcare worker while intoxicated. She explained that he told her she was going to get her belongings and leave after questioning her about why she was sending Olivia messages. Nanny responded to Jason by explaining that he had been drinking a lot and she could tell he was drunk and angry, and she was afraid of him at the time.
Now the former couple has shared a joint statement in which they say that, as parents, it is extremely upsetting for them to learn that their former nanny, who cared for their children, would opt to publicly make such untrue and salacious accusations. Olivia and Jason went on to say that her 18-month campaign of harassing them, as well as loved ones, close friends, and colleagues, had reached an unfortunate conclusion. The parents stated that they will continue to prioritise raising and protecting their children in the hope that she will just choose to leave them alone.
Olivia Wilde revealed to Vanity Fair that she and Jason Sudeikis split up in early 2020 and that their relationship was over long before she met Harry Styles. Olivia described it as ending like any other relationship, noting that it does not happen overnight. Unfortunately, Jason and she had a difficult relationship, and they officially ended it near the start of the pandemic. She also mentioned that they were raising two children during the lockdown, so they co-parented. When it became clear that cohabiting was no longer advantageous to the children, it was considered the ethical thing to do, because they might be good parents as friends who live in different houses.
Olivia Wilde's remarks came after Jason Sudeikis' lawyers served custody papers on her during a presentation at CinemaCon in April. She described it as being done in the most aggressive way possible, with the intent of threatening her and catching her off guard. Olivia Wilde, on the other hand, stated that she was not surprised but she had a job to do so she carried on with what she was there for.
Jason Sudeikis claimed he was unaware of how the papers would be served. According to a representative at the time, Jason Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or location where the envelope would be delivered, as this was totally up to the system services provider involved, and he could never actively support her being served in such an aggravating manner. Jason's representative stated that Jason knew how crucial Olivia's presentation was and that he would not do anything to jeopardize her moment, and he apologized for the situation.
According to a source, while the couple has an awkward relationship but they are trying to be good parents and keep their children as their top priority and do what is best for their children. The insider said that both Olivia and Jason are attempting to establish a tolerable, steady, and healthy co-parenting routine keeping their differences aside and scheduling for the sake of their children.
