The Kardashians are ready to face Blac Chyna.

The Kardashians, including Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner, appeared in court on Monday about the trial against Rob Kardashian’s ex, Blac Chyna. The family was present at the court to witness their legal team and Blac Chyna’s representative selects the jury for the trial.

Blac Chyna filed a lawsuit for $100 million against the Kardashian-Jenner family in 2017 for assault, battery, domestic violence, defamation, and interference with prospective economic relations. Due to the difference in her allegations against Rob Kardashian, the judge has decide to sever that part of case into a separate trial which is going to be held in May.

Blac claims that Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kylie Jenner were responsible for influencing the cancellation of her successful show "Rob and Chyna." The show was a spinoff of the successful and hit reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and lasted just for one season. According to Variety, a spokesperson for the network at the time stated that Rob and Chyna were not in production for several months and the show was not under the E! Schedule.

Just before it was announced by the network that the show "Rob and Chyna" had been canceled, Rob Kardashian leaked nude pictures of Blac Chyna on social media, and thus, Blac claimed that the revenge porn incident, along with his ex-fiancé’s family’s influence, had decided to cancel the show.

During the jury selection process in the courthouse, when an attorney asked the potential jurors if they had any views on reality TV, one of them replied that he had not seen the show, but he had watched the infamous sex tape and added that he did not think that he could be impartial in the case because he would be thinking about the sex tape over and over again in his mind while the trial is on.

According to a source, this comment by a potential juror although made other jurors laugh but was not taken very well with the Kardashians but they kept their calm and comforted Kim Kardashian. One of them said that anything that has to do with their names is just a big no for him and added that he does not think reality TV is good for society.

One of the jurors said that they sincerely hope none of these people get any wealthier because of this, while a woman said that her teenage daughter tried to watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians, but she had to stop her because she believed that the Kardashian-Jenner family were not the best role models and she would never let her watch anything involving them. One of them did not wait for his turn and said that he has a very negative perception of the parties and is not sure he could be unbiased during the trial.

Judge Gregory W. Alarcon was not pleased by the tone and said that although he appreciates honesty, this is a case where everybody is entitled to a fair trial and there is a jury instruction that says that the wealth or poverty of the party involved should not matter. One of the jurors who had served in other cases said he was not pleased with the pampered treatment the Kardashian-Jenner family was getting.

But there were a few jurors who liked the Kardashian-Jenner clan, and one of them said that she was a fan of the Kardashians, so she did not think that she would be able to make an unbiased judgment. A man also mentioned that he has been watching the show since he was little, so he does not think that he could be fair either.

The Kardashians’ attorney, Michael G. Rhodes, explained to the courthouse that the reason why security drove the family members and escorted them into the courtroom is that they are well-known faces and people should know that there is a dark side to being a celebrity.

Blac Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, shared with Us Weekly in October 2020 that Blac Chyna was going to seek millions in compensatory and punitive damages from the family for defamation and interference with prospective economic relations. Her lawyer added that she is thrilled that she is finally getting a chance to speak up.

The Kardashians including Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and Corey Gamble are expected to take a stand to state their side of the story. Ryan Seacrest is also expected to take a stand to clarify why the show was called off. It has been reported that a number of former executives with E! and the production company behind the Kardashian shows, Bunim Murray Productions, will also take the witness stand at some point in the trial.

According to source, the Kardashians' attorney told the judge that the Kardashians made a settlement offer earlier this week to Blac Chyna which she rejected. Blac Chyna's attorney had mentioned that before going into trail she will make a counteroffer and if it is accpeted, the feud between the sisters of Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna may end but not between Rob and Chyna as they have a seperate trial claiming of revenge porn set for May.
