Julia Fox recently, during an interview with ES Magazine, shared that she is ‘proud’ that she decided to part ways with ex-boyfriend Kanye West in February after she witnessed a red flag in the rapper.
The Uncut Gems star said during the interview that it seems like Kanye West had a lot to work on and she just did not have the time or the energy for it, adding that she does not have the bandwidth or the emotional capacity to deal with someone else’s issues, and she feels proud that she was able to leave that relationship when it was the right time for her to leave.
Julia Fox went on to say that the Julia she was before her son Valentino, whom she shares with ex-Peter Artemiev, would have stayed by his side and been there for him for a longer period, but not the Julia she is now. She said that Kanye West’s lifestyle is not sustainable for her and when real life set in for them, she couldn’t fly away once a week, and that is when she decided to tap out at the first sign of a red flag.
After the two of them sparked romance in January, reports came out that Julia Fox was in a relationship with Kanye West for her self-gain, to which she clarified that it was complete bullshit and stated that Kanye West got her number through a mutual friend. Now, in her interview with ES, Julia echoed the same sentiment, sharing that there was a good amount of romance between the two of them, which is why she decided to give it some time to see where it goes.
On asking what the red flag she witnessed in Kanye West made her tap out, she hinted that Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s public divorce had been a major part of their breakup. It was reported on Valentine’s Day that Kanye and Julia have broken up but are friends and collaborators.When she was asked during her appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast that was she never jealous of Kanye West still talking about Kim Kardashian while being with her to which Julia Fox said that she understands that there might be some residual feelings and it's only human to have those.
Julia Fox explained that she tried her best to make the relationship work and that she already had a packed life, adding that she wondered how she could fit this really big personality into this already full life in an interview with The New York Times that was published in March. She also suggested that their busy schedules may have contributed to their breakup. It was simply unsustainable. Julia said she shed around 15 pounds in that month. When questioned if she and Kanye West were "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" in the traditional sense, she explained that she doesn't believe those words ever truly came out of her mouth, but that she most definitely felt like it. But she also felt as though she was being cast as his girlfriend and he was casting her. He was the orchestrator of it all. It did feel like a movie, Julia said.
Julia Fox expressed nothing but praise for her relationship with Kanye West in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, describing it as the best thing that could have happened to her and comparing it to pressing a reset button that brought a spark back into her life that she had kind of forgotten about.
Kanye West was active on social media after his breakup with Julia Fox, pleading for his ex-wife Kim Kardashian to take him back. Despite Kim Kardashian filing for divorce in February 2021, the singer told his followers at the time that he was not giving up on his family by posting a now-deleted picture of the reality star and her then-boyfriend, Pete Davidson. The former couple has four children together: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. Kanye published a post with his kids in which they prayed to God to reunite their family, and he expressed his belief that they will soon get back together.
Since then, the beauty mogul and Pete Davidson's relationship has ended, and a source previously told Page Six that Kim Kardashian was "livid" at Kanye West's response. The insider stated that the post is just a reminder to her that he will never change and that there will never be the hope of reconciliation after the musician tweeted a photo lamenting the fictitious death of Pete Davidson.
