Larsa Pippen reflects on her split with ex-husband Scottie Pippen.
During a recent appearance on Melissa Gorga’s On Display podcast, The Real Housewives of Miami star, Larsa Pippen, shared her life update since the split with ex-husband Scottie Pippen.
The former couple, who got married in 1997, initially split up in 2016 but rekindled their romance, only to decide to separate for good in 2018. They finalized their divorce three years later. Larsa Pippen shares four kids with Scottie Pippen: Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin, and Sophia.
Larsa Pippen said during the interview that the split from Scottie Pippen was not easy and it has not been easy to move forward after deciding to end their 21-year marriage. She explained that she is kind of mentally in a place where she was married to someone who was famous, cute and had a good body and he was successful, giving her four gorgeous children, which makes her think that now where in the hell will she find someone like him?
Larsa said that it does have to be all the boxes but a few of them and described that it has been hard and mentioned that she genuinely thought that it was going to be easy but it has turned out to be the opposite. The Real Housewives of Miami star added that once she started dating, she realized that maybe she was not going to have it all but acknowledged and appreciated the time she had spent with her ex-husband and said that they had a good run, a great relationship.
Back in February, Larsa Pippen did not echo the same sentiment as she mentioned while speaking to costar Alexia Echevarria during an episode of The Real Housewives of Miami that Scottie Pippen acts as' The Punisher’ when they are not able to see a situation eye to-eye. She revealed that when their disagreements about their home started, Scottie told her that their daughter Sophia would be going to Los Angeles against Larsa’s wishes, and she explained that she was traumatized because if Scottie would not get his things done, he would punish her like this. Larsa also said that Scottie likes to control the narrative and the kids are the last piece of control that he has got over her, and he is only punishing her because she was making him sell the house.
Larsa Pippen said to the confessional camera that Scottie Pippen has made sure that she knows that he is still in charge because she is doing whatever makes her happy. Co-star Alexia Echevarria said to the confessional camera that Larsa Pippen is too close to Scottie Pippen and the truth is that no man that the reality star dates are going to be okay with the closeness she has with her ex-husband and added that maybe it is not even good for Larsa Pippen.
An audio recording from Larsa Pippen was released before the former couple filed for divorce in which she called 911 to report that Scottie Pippen was being aggressive, and Scottie’s lawyer, Roberta G. Stanley, said in a statement that he is aware of the fact that some members of the media have managed to obtain the 911 recordings, but it should be clarified that Larsa Pippen did not make any accusation against Scottie Pippen of physical violence.
