Chris Hemsworth is taking some time off from work.

Chris Hemsworth, an Australian actor, recently revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair that after completing the promotion of his new Disney+ series, Limitless, he will take some time off to focus on his health.

Chris revealed that while filming an episode about death for his new docuseries, he realized he needed to slow down and that his children, India, and twins Sasha and Tristan, were the driving forces behind the decision.

The actor stated that while filming an episode about death, he realized that he is not yet ready to die. Chris went on to say that he wants to sit in the space with a greater sense of stillness and gratitude, and then he starts talking about kids and family and how they're getting older and growing up, and he keeps slapping some other movie on top of another.

The actor went on to say that before he knew it, they'd turned 18 and decided to move out, and he'd missed the boat. The actor went on to say that filming that episode provoked something in him to want to take a little time off and that since the show ended, he has been wrapping up the things he had already been contracted to do. Now, when he finishes this tour this week, he is going back home and taking some time off to ease and be with the kids and his wife.

During the interview, the actor stated that the show, which began as an exploration of longevity and, of course, should be entertaining, became even more relevant and important to him, as well as more poignant, than he had anticipated. It was a great motivator for him to get started on everything he needed to do in terms of prevention, management, or whatever you want to call it. Although it is not a pre-deterministic gene, it is a strong indicator and he believes it was regarded as a determinant ten years ago.

Dr. Attia says in one of the episodes says that the medical experts took his blood samples and run some tests on him which makes him eight to ten times more likely to develop Alzheimer's in the future. Chris admits that yes, it's one in a thousand or one in ten thousand, he can't recall anything, but it is eight to ten times more likely. Since they told him that, he has noticed that his memory has deteriorated describing it as a placebo effect—or it's happening.

The interviewer asked that could it be because his grandfather has Alzheimer's, this test was not entirely unexpected. But isn't he still alive? The actor responds that he is but he has not seen him in a few years, but his other family members have, and he can be quite joyful and give you a big hug on some days. But Chris' mother claims he's just a nice guy saying he's not sure his grandfathers recognize much anymore though, and he drifts in and out of Dutch, his native language, so he'll be having a conversation between Dutch and English, then just a mash-up, and presumably some new words.

Chris Hemsworth admitted in a confessional that after learning the show's results, the thought that he won't be able to recall the life he has experienced or lived, or his wife, or kids, is probably his biggest fear. During the interview with Vanity Fair, Chris Hemsworth added that most people prefer to avoid discussing death in the hope of avoiding it altogether, with the belief that they will figure it out. Then they are reminded that some major indicators are constantly pointing to this as the path that will be taken, and the fact of it starts to sink in. He adds that one must acknowledge mortality.

During an interview with George Stephanopoulos on Good Morning America, the 39-year-old actor was asked if he had any reservations about taking the genetic test, which revealed that his risk of developing Alzheimer's disease is eight to ten times higher than the general population. To be honest, he said he had no idea what the test was and explained that the plan was to dig deep into his blood work, look at his genetics, and tell him what they found on camera they found. He admitted that he didn’t expect to find much.

Hemsworth explained that each episode of Limitless, which is now available on Disney+, focuses on a different pillar of health, wellness, and longevity, and that he puts the science to the test by putting himself through a series of extreme physical and emotional challenges. From swimming in freezing water to climbing a 1,000-foot rope, Hemsworth revealed that a four-day water-only fast was the most difficult of them all.
