Jameela Jamil is not happy with Kim Kardashian’s work ethic advice!
During an interview with Variety and discussing the family’s new Hulu series, ‘The Kardashians', Kim Kardashian touched on the topic of working women and said that she has the best advice for women in business which is to get your f*****g a** up and work. Kim adds that it seems to her that nobody wants to work these days.
Kim Kardashian has always been labeled as ‘famous for being famous’ to which she said that they do not care about that stuff because she has always focused on doing good and positive. She works hard to be here where she is even though she had her parents’ money, she had to do a lot on her own and she feels sorry for the ones who do not understand that. Kim added that she along with the family do not have the energy to waste on things like this and she is grateful for what they have!
Jameela Jamil soon after the interview took to her social media to call Kim Kardashian out for her comment and said that her point about women in business is tone-deaf. She said that it’s easier for her to say all these things because she grew up in Beverly Hills to successful parents and lived in a mansion. Jameela Jamil went ahead to ask Kim Kardashian to stop advising on success or work ethic.
Jameela explained that nobody wants to hear her advice because the 24 hours of the day might be a nightmare for 99.9% of the world and she has grown up in a different 24 hours. Although she went ahead to give the Kar-Jenners some credit for their impressive business ventures but also pointed out that all of this comes from a point of privilege.
The English actress, who has often expressed her critique comment about the Kardashians-Jenners stated that they are in no position to answer questions about their success because it’s pretty obvious what is their secret. She added that they should just take the money, use it for good and chill the f**k out rather than lecturing other people about grinding and hustling. Jameela also pointed out the fact that not only Kim but the general media and the celebrities who grew up in wealthy environments should learn how to brag about themselves without putting someone else down.
Jameela Jamil had previously called out Kim Kardashian for advertising and encouraging harmful weight loss products as well as Khloe Kardashian for advertising and selling meal-replacement shakes. Along with Jameela Jamil, journalist Soledad O’Brien also called out Kim Kardashian for the statement she made for women in business and wrote that being born rich help.
The comments of Jameela and Soledad also come after Molly Mae, PrettyLittleThing creative director said in a statement that Beyonce also has the same 24 hours as everyone else and everything depends on how people try to pursue it. She was later called ‘tone-deaf’.
The internet went in two directions when it came to Kim Kardashian's work ethic as some believed that she is privileged and wrote that it’ll be interesting to see how strong her work ethic is when her assets are taken away. Some wrote that although she was entitled to the money, she has worked very hard to build her brand and make the buyers trust her brand.
