John Stamos is not happy with the Tony Awards.

The 75th annual Tony Awards were held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 12, 2022, where individuals who have worked tremendously to keep Broadway alive were honored. John Stamos was not happy and called out them for not honoring his Full House star and comedian Bob Saget, who recently passed away during the ‘In Memoriam’ section of the ceremony, which featured stars including Sidney Poitier, William Hurt, Stephen Sondheim, and Joan Didion.

John Stamos took to his social media to share that he was disappointed to hear that his late friend and co-star Bob Saget was left out of the "In Memoriam" segment of the Tony Awards 2022. John Stamos added that Bob Saget was brilliant in "The Drowsy Chaperone" and "Hand to God" and urged the Broadway League and The Wing to do the right thing. John Stamos added that Bob Saget loved Broadway and he knew that the community loved him too. John Stamos also encouraged the audience to send their love and support to the hosts of the evening, Ariana DeBose, Julianne Hough, and Darren Criss, along with the nominees.

The actor-comedian died as a result of head trauma after accidentally hitting the back of his head. He had appeared in two Broadway shows: "Man in Chair" and "The Drowsy Chaperone" in 2006, and "Hand to God" in 2015. John Stamos, who was a really good friend of Bob Saget, seemed pretty sad and disappointed with the Tony Awards for not giving the actor and comedian the due respect he should have received.

John Stamos recently honored Bob Saget in the Netflix special "Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute" along with his wife Kelly Rizzo, who got emotional and said that Bob Saget loved being a part of this, and the most important thing to him as belonging to the club, to the group, and being a comedian. Kelly Rizzo added that the late comedian just loved funny people and loved being around them. The late comedian’s wife added that she knows that Bob Saget would be so honored to see all of his friends and people honoring him and that he might be looking down and smiling.

John Mayer, who was also a part of Bob Saget’s Tribute, recalled a vivid dream he had about the actor and said that a younger version of the comedian paid him a visit in his dream and they were about to go into a restaurant that John Mayer knew but Bob Saget did not, and John said to Bob Saget that he loves him a lot. John Mayer and Bob Saget have been friends for nearly two decades, and John Mayer and Jeff Ross were the ones who picked up the late comedian’s car from Los Angeles International Airport.

Kelly Rizzo also thanked John Mayer and Jeff Ross for their kind gestures and for holding her up at the time of the comedian’s death. For John Stamos’ tribute in the special, he said that he is not ready to say goodbye to him as it does not seem real to him as he sees him out there doing what he does best; a comedy in another two-hour set and receiving a standing ovation; bringing out his guitar and playing one of his funny songs.

The representatives of Tony Awards have not yet replied to John Stamos' comments.
