Christian Bale is down to play Batman once again.

While promoting his upcoming movie, "Thor: Love and Thunder," actor Christian Bale said that he is down to play Batman/Bruce Wayne once again, but he has one condition. He had previously portrayed the character in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Night trilogy, which was highly appreciated for his acting, and since then, the audience has been waiting to see him back as Batman on-screen.

During a brief interview with Screen Rant, the actor was asked if he was ever approached by someone to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne once again, to which he said that no one had ever mentioned it to him before and added that no one brought it up. Christian Bale added that occasionally people say to him that they have heard that someone had approached him and offered him all this, and he just says to them that’s news to him too because no one mentioned it to him.

Christian Bale went on to say that he would only reprise his role as Bruce Wayne/Batman for DC Universe if Christopher Nolan was on board. The actor said that he had a pact with Christopher Nolan that they would make three movies, and they were lucky enough that they got to do that, and people loved it, and then they said let’s walk away and not linger too long. Christian explained that in his mind, he thinks that if Christopher Nolan tells himself that he has another story to tell and would choose to tell or share that story with the world, then he’d be down for it.

Christian Bale also spoke to ComicBook, stating that it’s about Christopher Nolan being on board with the project that could convince him to reprise his role as Batman/Bruce Wayne. Christian Bale starred as Batman in 2005 with "Batman Begins" and later "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises," which have been critically appreciated and loved by the people and the critics. The Dark Knight trilogy provided Christian Bale’s version of Bruce Wayne with a pretty definitive ending, and later, Christopher Nolan’s relationship with Warner Bros. was also strained due to the company’s handling of his movie ‘Tenet’.

Christian Bale told Variety earlier this month that he hasn't seen Robert Pattinson's "The Batman," but that's because he doesn't watch many movies, and that he plans to see it. Christian Bale shared that he likes to savor films and does not watch too many, but said that he will watch The Batman soon and added that Robert Pattinson is a great actor and he bumped into him and they both talked about it.

Talking about his upcoming Marvel movie, ‘Thor: Love and Thunder', starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Taika Waititi, and Russell Crowe, the actor said that he could not walk away from the role because of Taika Waititi’s talent. Christian Bale explained that his family loved "Thor: Ragnarok" and "Jojo Rabbit" and then he wanted to work with Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth, so he heard about his character, Gorr the God Butcher, and he loved it. (Christian Bale worked with Natalie Portman in "Knight of Cups").

The actor revealed that even though he was on board and loved the character, there were some scheduling conflicts and he said to his family that maybe he could not make it work, to which his family said that he had to make it work and added that the kids gave him marching orders and he dutifully obeyed. The audience is excited to see Christian Bale as Gore the God Butcher especially after his look was revealed in the trailer. The movie is set to release on 8th July 2022.
