Ricky Martin gets in trouble once again.

According to reports, a complaint was made against Ricky Martin earlier this month under Law 54, which is known as the Domestic Abuse Prevention and Intervention Act, according to the Georgetown Journal of Gender, citing the domestic abuse allegations, which the singer denied. Due to the nature of the bill, the name of the petitioner was not revealed.

The complainant said that he ultimately ended their relationship early this year, but Ricky Martin allegedly refused to accept the breakup and continued to harass him in the months that followed. The victim said that he gets regular calls from Ricky Martin and had spotted him lingering around his apartment on three occasions. The petitioner worries about his security and added that the petitioning party established a strong likelihood of an urgent risk of abuse.

The representatives of Ricky Martin said at the time that the allegations against Ricky Martin, which led to him being served with a restraining order, were completely untrue and fabricated. The representatives added that they are confident that when the truth comes out on this matter, Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated.

The police spokesperson, Axel Valencia, spoke to the Associated Press, stating that a restraining order was issued in an upscale neighborhood in Puerto Rico, where Ricky Martin is from, but the police were not successful in finding him. Axel Valencia also mentioned that the restraining order prevents Ricky Martin from contacting the person who made the complaints, and the judge is going to decide whether the order should be in place or not.

But now, earlier this week, a Spanish media outlet reported that Eric Martin, who is Ricky Martin’s brother, revealed the identity of the petitioner, who happens to be Ricky Martin’s 21-year-old nephew Dennis Yadiel Sanchez. Eric Martin allegedly stated that the claims against Ricky Martin came from a nephew who had mental health issues, according to the Puerto Rican news source El Vocero. Later, multiple reports that surfaced online stated that Ricky Martin and his nephew had a seven-month affair and the nephew has now alleged that he was the target of physical and psychological attacks after he tried to break things off with Ricky Martin.

Ricky Martin’s lawyer, Marty Singer, in a statement mentioned that, Ricky Martin, of course, has never been and would never engage in any type of sexual or romantic connection with his nephew; regrettably, the person who made the claim is battling serious mental health issues. The lawyer continued by stating that the idea of the claim is not only false, but it is disgusting. They all hope that this man receives medical attention and professional assistance as soon as possible, but most of all, they hope that the horrible case against Ricky Martin will be dropped as soon as the judge has a chance to review the evidence.

The reports have mentioned that the relationship that has been mentioned is considered incest. The penalty for the crime in Puerto Rico is 50 years in prison. Earlier this month, when the news of the restraining order was made public, Ricky Martin was prompted to use his social media accounts to declare that the protection order against him is founded on an entirely false claim and that he would challenge it in court with the facts and the dignity that define him. As a result of the continuing legal proceedings, Ricky said, he is unable to speak much on the situation. Instead, he expressed his gratitude for the love and support he has been receiving from people all around the world.

According to TMZ, a judge will decide whether or not to keep the restraining order in place when Ricky Martin appears in court on July 21.

Word of the restraining order against Ricky Martin emerged when his former manager Rebecca Drucker sued him in Los Angeles Central District Court for more than $3 million in unpaid commissions. She claimed in her 15-page complaint that Ricky Martin had been saved on numerous occasions by her assistance in obtaining recording contracts, touring and sponsorship agreements, and other professional endeavors in exchange for which she had been promised a commission on his earnings but had not yet received payment. She also claimed that Ricky Martin frequently misled and manipulated her, which prompted her to resign from her position. She adds that the singer has now allegedly threatened to use a nondisclosure agreement as leverage to get her to keep quiet, but she has rebuffed this.

Rebecca Drucker has demanded a trial by jury on all issues and causes of action.
