Kourtney Kardashian Barker talks about ex-Scott Disick’s future on ‘The Kardashians’.
Season Two of The Kardashians has returned with two episodes streaming on Hulu and giving the audience an insight into the famous lives along with answering some of the most talked about questions when it comes to the family. But what the audience pointed out was how Scott Disick was not mentioned or shown once in the two episodes that premiered where he did appear in the first season.
Talking about the same, Kourtney Kardashian said on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast that she is not on the show for Scott Disick’s storyline as it was shown in season one. The Poosh founder and Talentless founder’s past romance and post-split life have been documented for years on Keeping Up With the Kardashians and on The Kardashians. It has been said that it portrayed Kourtney Kardashian the wrong way as Scott Disick’s commentary was given more screen time when discussing her romance with her now husband, Travis Barker.
Scott Disick's possible inclusion in season two of the show was not disclosed by Kourtney, who also expressed her displeasure at the decision to use her story and include Scott's response and talk surrounding it. Kourtney said it concerned her that the people creating the program were choosing what her tale would be. She went on to say that as the show's executive producer, she had given thoughts about Scott's sequences but that they had not been taken into consideration.
The reality TV star clarified that initially, she did not have a problem with the scenes of Scott Disick when she watched it because they are so used to the way that they have done things for so long and it has been that kind of stuff would be included, but what bothered her was the fact that it was her fairytale and it was overshadowed. Kourtney said that she kept thinking, "Why can’t they show the happy ending and focus on something else?", adding that she understands that it’s TV and blah blah but Kourtney was not having it and said that they wouldn’t do that to anyone else.
Kourtney Kardashian said that since the first season of the show premiered, she had made it clear that it’s not for her, adding that she is not going to be a part of this. She mentioned that she feels like she is here living her life and not sitting and talking about anyone else, so she could demand the same respect. In the first season of the show, conversations involving Scott Disick's acceptance of Kourtney and Travis' romance was featured a lot where he was heard sharing with Khloe Kardashian that their engagement is probably going to help him move on because now he knows that she has lost Kourtney forever and he needs to focus on himself.
During the conversation, Kourtney also mentioned that after years of teaming up to take on various cities with her sister Khloe Kardashian, Khloe and Kim seem to be closer these days.
Kourtney explained that there is certainly some distance between them, noting that it started when Khloe was pregnant with True Thompson in 2018 and Kim Kardashian was expecting her daughter Chicago West via surrogate and that she feels they bonded because they were going through the same thing, and that is when she was unhappy with the show, partially because of them ganging up. The POOSH founder added that it was almost everything that Khloe and she had done to Kim, and now it was coming back to her. She also revealed that she started therapy at the time, which was also a very emotional process for her, explaining that when she and Kim got into a physical fight, it was a lot. It felt like an intense time.
Kourt said that she thinks some of them more than others feel the need to distance themselves sometimes or just do their own thing, adding that she would love to keep her little bubble and, as they say, "Protect your energy." And she would just like to be in her little world and enter it when she chooses and then slips back in. She also said that she felt forced to film Keeping Up With The Kardashians compared to the new show as it does not demand much of her time.
She said that she feels like she is living her life; she barely noticed that the cameras were there and when they are, it’s super fun. Talking about Khloe, she said that they are close, they talk, they are good but life is not the same anymore and she is in a different place but concluded that it’s all good. She concluded that they are a family and it's all good between them.
