Emancipation, an action mystery movie directed by Antonie Fuqua featuring Will Smith took a pause from staging owing to the rise in Covid cases within the crew.

Apple won the allotment rights while competing with Warner Bros, Lionsgate and Universal Pictures. Apple has paid out approximately 120 million $ for Will Smith’s action thriller Emancipation in which he is playing a fugitive.

The production is put to a halt for five days. Emancipation is the brand-new Hollywood movie halted due to positive tests as the Covid mutant Delta strain is increasing its rate alarmingly.

The movie was initially condemned to produce in Georgia, then to Louisiana, where the real phase of the film took place, the reason being the controversy by the Republican Government.

Smith as Peter, a slave who set him free from a homestead in Louisiana after he was lashed by the whip to save his life. After being mercilessly tortured he escaped to the North where he got involved in the Union Army.

'The mystery is planted on Peter’s true events. When his whipped back was examined by the Army doctors, one of the docs took the photo of his scared back and it became viral in 1863 with a title named “THE SCOURGED BACK”.

This photo was evidence of the brutality of slavery practiced in America. It stiffened the revolutionary cause and gave rise to many blacks getting attached to the Union Army to fight against the white supremacists to the South.

Will Smith will not disappoint his fans by further delaying the movie. Hope it recovers the production of the movie with a twinkling on an eye and is launched in the theatres soon.
