Disney+ has renewed Proud Family: louder and prouder for season 2; Credits: Disney+

Proud Family: Louder and Prouder are officially up for a season 2 renewal! The series will return for its second season on Disney+ and will feature a star cast of celebrity ensembles including Chance the Rapper. 

Proud family: Louder and Prouder was an attempt at reviving the beloved Disney Channel cartoon back from the 2000s. The remake of the cartoon aired on Disney+ this year in February, continuing with the story right from where it left off and has been an instant hit with the audience. 

The story is however made to be in the 2020s in contrast to the original 2000s timeline. The cast of the animated series consists of many actors who reprised their roles from the original series. 

The cast includes Kyla Pratt, who is voicing Penny Proud, the lead of the show is 14 years old. Season One of the spinoff show reached its end on April 20 this year, and Disney+ did not waste a moment to announce that fans can soon expect to see the series on their screens again. 

Season Two of Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is in the production stage yet and no date of release has been revealed as of now. Many original voice actors from season 1 of the show will be heading back to reprise their roles in season two, too. 

The original stars like Pratt and Tommy Davidson are permanent fixtures in the series, while newcomers of the spinoff, including Keke Palmer, Billy Porter, and Zachary Quinto will also make an appearance. 

Of course, many celebrities are also expected to grace the sets of Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, just like in the first season of the series. The guest cast of season 2 is expected to extend invitations to famous faces like Chance the Rapper, Gabrielle Union, Normani, Leslie Odom Jr., and Gabby Douglas. There could be even more names in the list that are not revealed yet. 

The plot of the series will most probably pick right from where things were left off in season one of the show. Hence, the audience will get to see Penny living in her ever-changing world, along with her friends and family as they all set out together to live a life of adventures. 

The series is created under the wing of the creator of the original show, Proud Family. Show creator Bruce W. Smith collaborated with executive producer Ralph Farquhar to bring forward the spin-off of the show. 

Calvin Brown Jr. also serves as a co-executive producer on the series along with being the story editor. The team is joined by Jan Hirota, the producer of the show, and Eastwood Wong, the art director. The filmmaking aspect and direction fall to Latoya Raveneau, Rudi Bloss, and Tara Nicole Whitaker.

Kyla Pratt will return as the voice artist behind Penny Proud, the amiable female lead of the show, aged 14. She is confident in herself and can mostly be seen trying to make friends with people, also the ones who do not appreciate her warm advances. 

Extremely intelligent and smart when it comes to school, Penny is a school-level journalist and writes for the school's newspaper. Pratt is presently enjoying peak success in her career and recently starred as Randi in Call Me Kat by Fox. She was also seen in The Metalist season 5 and Insecure.

Tommy Davidson As Oscar Proud

Oscar Proud is one of the main characters on the show and is voiced by Tommy Davidson, who reprised his said role in the spin-off after starring in the same role in the original series. Oscar is Penny's father, protective of his daughter, and is a work from a home inventor who works on making snacks and selling them from his company. 

Davidson is known for many roles prior to his debut in Proud Family. His famous works include Sarah Cooper: Everything's Fine, a Netflix special, Miracles Across 125th Street by Nick Cannon, and Sharknado 4: The Fourth Awakens. 

Trudy Proud, played by Paula Jai Parker

Trudy Proud is Penny's doting mother, played by Paula Jai Parker who is reprising her role in the spinoff series. The lady is a veterinarian and is usually busy with her work. Yet, Trudi is always available for her family. 

Parker is known for her roles like A House Divided and Them by Amazon Prime. She has otherwise starred in many TV show roles and films.
