Zendaya, an Emmy Award-winning actress, is known as one of the most marvelous actresses in the industry, especially with her recent performances. She has a social media following of 110 million people, and her fans have appreciated her presence on social media. Being a celebrity, particularly on social media, puts an individual in the public eye.

The actress recently talked about her experience with social media and how it makes her anxious, causing her to take breaks from it. Zendaya first gained attention as a child when she played Rocky Blue in Disney's "Shake It Up," and the actress has only increased her critical praise since then. In 2013, the actress was a contestant on the 16th season of the dance competition series "Dancing with the Stars".

Zendaya is also a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as MJ, who co-stars with Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the Spider-Man franchise. She was highly praised for her performance as Rue Bennett in "Euphoria", which made her the youngest recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

The actress's "Malcolm and Marie", was filmed during the first phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the actress allocated shares in the film to everyone involved in its making, as a way of offering a financial bonus when the movie was sold, and a portion of the proceeds was shared with Feeding America. The actress recently portrayed Chani alongside Timothée Chalamet in Denis Villeneuve's science-fiction film, "Dune."

Zendaya has been under public scrutiny since she began her profession at a young age, and she recently said that she was extremely timid as a child and as an adult and that she has carried part of that shyness with her. She stated, "I was always a shy kid. I would find being on social media would kind of make me anxious, or I would start to overthink a little too much. I haven't been posting, and my fans probably hate it, which I understand. But I get too overwhelmed with having to post things, and if I think too much about it, I'm not going to do it. It's not worth it... [My fans] want me to be happy and exist beyond social media. I'd rather do what I love and then post when I have a project to promote... Take the time that you need and don't compare yourself to anyone else".

According to E! Online, the Emmy Award-winning actress stated in an interview with The HFPA in Conversation podcast that she wants to be authentic on social media. Zendaya revealed that she is quite protective of her Instagram account and that only she has access to it. She also stated that being honest on social media is crucial. Zendaya, on the other hand, stated that she restricts her time on social media by not posting every day. She also thanked her family for assisting her in maintaining a positive mindset amid frequent media and fan attention.

The actress has also stated that the backlash she faced following the release of "Malcolm & Marie," a film written and directed by a white filmmaker, deprived her of her autonomy. Zendaya and Tenet actor John David Washington star in the Netflix film "Malcolm & Marie." Critics questioned Levinson's writing and portrayal of two black characters from his own white man's perspective, but Zendaya insists that the film depicts her worldview as well.

Just like Zendaya, Selena Gomez has also shared her situation with social media, mentioning that she deleted the applications from her phone three years ago. She explained, "I don’t have it [social media] on my phone, so there’s no temptation. I suddenly had to learn how to be with myself. That was annoying, because in the past, I could spend hours looking at other people’s lives. I would find myself down nearly two years in someone’s feed, and then I’d realize, ‘I don’t even know this person!’"

Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet co-star in "Dune," and when asked about their working relationship, the actress said Timothée is a "wonderful friend to have." Zendaya, who co-stars with Timothee in the upcoming sci-fi film, expressed her gratitude for his friendship, saying she enjoys having someone who understands her daily struggles. She shared, "He's obviously a very talented actor, but just a wonderful person and a good friend to have. Especially in this industry, it's nice to have other people who are going through it too and that you can talk to."

Zendaya also appears in the Denis Villeneuve-directed film starring Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem. The actor expressed her desire to be a part of the project, saying, "Before they were even looking at people, I heard about it. And I was like, 'I really want to get in the room.' They weren't looking in my direction. And I was like, 'Hey, I'm here!'"

The film, “Dune” has received positive reviews from both critics and audiences especially for the performances. She recommends all social media users avoid comparing themselves to others and place a higher value on living at the moment than on meeting social media posting deadlines. She got the CNMI Green Carpet Fashion Awards' Visionary Award in October 2020 for "her efforts in promoting diversity and inclusion in fashion and film."

In a recent interview when Timothée and Zendaya were asked who is their celebrity crush and Timothée answered for Zendaya stating "Tom Holland". The actress later shared why she admires Tom so much by mentioning, “There are many things, obviously, that I appreciate. In an actor way, I appreciate that he really loves being Spider-Man. It's a lot of pressure—you take on the role of a superhero wherever you go. To the little kid who walks by, you are Spider-Man. I think he handled that so well... And seeing him at work, even though he's not a Virgo, he is a perfectionist.”  The two were initially rumored to be dating in 2017 on the sets of Spiderman: Homecoming and the video of two kissing in a car pretty much confirmed it.

Tom Holland recently shared a photo of his girlfriend wearing a Rick Owens gown to the London premiere of Dune, captioning the photo with the title of the film and a heart-eye emoji.
