Zoe Saldaña details transformation from Zoe to Gamora

Zoe Saldaña who is popular for her portrayal as Gamora in Marvel Cinematic Universe’ ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ has shared behind the scenes of her transformation from Zoe to Gamora.

Zoe Saldaña who is currently shooting for Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3 has shared the detailed process of how she transforms from Zoe to Gamora every day. The actress took to her social media account to share some behind-the-scenes footage with the fans and her posts shared online showcased her face in prosthetics, green makeup, and ivy-colored nails.

The actress in her interview with Hollywood Life shared, “It takes 40 minutes to take all that off, because you want to do it slowly. All of those adhesives activate the more time goes on, they get stuck to your skin the more you perspire under them, so we really take our time removing them.”  Some of the fans noticed that even with putting so much makeup, prosthetics on every day, her skin still manages to look flawless and smooth and she was asked how does she manage to do that to which she said, “I then use astringent, to activate all my natural oils so that I release whatever my pores consumed that day! Then, it’s just coming home and just taking a nice hot bath, going to bed, and waking up to do it all over again.” Zoe Saldaña added that she puts her face under steam after removing all the makeup to open up her pores.

Celebrities are cautious about their skin but sometimes they have to undergo a process of transformation for a specific role and especially it lands you in the Marvel universe. Zoe Saldaña admitted that she has managed to control herself from panicking with the number of prosthetics and makeup that she has to put on her face to transform into Gamora. She said, “I can’t change it. I have to do it. It’s a bittersweet process, because it’s bitter because of how time consuming it is, and the transformation is a little painful, but it’s sweet because it brings such an amazing results in the story that James Gunn created. So, I feel like I’m grumpy every morning, but I leave skipping, because we’re teaching so much and we’re telling great stories, we’re telling great jokes and I’m working with great humans.”

James Gunn, the director of the movie shared that the Guardians Of The Galaxy, Vol. 3 is the last time the audience will get to see the movie star cast together as a part of Guardians Of The Galaxy. He also added, “It’s big; it’s so, so big and dark and different from what people might be expecting it to be.” The director has also hinted at the death of the character in the upcoming movie.

Zoe Saldaña was firstly seen as Gamora in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 1 which followed her appearance in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. Talking about being a part of Marvel Universe, the actress said, “Every lived experience inspires you or changes something about you and your approach to your creative craft. I’m certainly more grateful now. I feel like the more I mature, the more I’m able to see just how lucky I’ve been and how hard I worked. It’s just sometimes about enjoying the moment and being in the moment that gives you the most amazing results.”

Recently Zoe Saldaña spoke to E! News as she gears up for celebrating the 20th anniversary of ‘Crossroads’ in which she starred along with Britney Spears, Taryn Manning, etc. Zoe shared, "I was just so excited to be doing a movie like that about three friends. I'm one of three sisters and we are best friends. Anything to do with female bonding, sisterhood…I'm consumed by emotion immediately. I get it. It's easy for me. I yearn for it. I'm always looking for it."

Zoe Saldaña also recalled working with Britney Spears and appreciated the singer for taking a stand for herself and added, "I was working with Britney Spears when Britney was the biggest thing at that time. And she was always just a sweet and kind person. She still is. I just have a feeling that she still is. I'm proud of her for stepping up for herself. It's amazing."

The actress shared although there are no plans of celebration right now she is open to catching up with her former co-stars and talking to them. Zoe lastly added, "There's been nothing but love between all three of us. It would be beautiful to sit down and you know, just break bread with all those awesome women and reconnect because it was a good experience."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 also stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillian, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, and Will Poulter. It is set to be released on May 5th 2023.
