2023 Brit Awards nominees announced; Mo Gilligan returns as the host

The annual Brit Awards 2023 presented by BPI (British Phonographic Industry) will be held on 11th February 2023 at the O2 Arena in London to honor the best in British and international music. The ceremony will air live on ITV1 and ITVX and will be hosted by Mo Gilligan.

On the 12th of January 2023, Jack Saunders and Vick Hope announced the nominees via the BRITs social media platform. Nominations for British producer and songwriter of the year will be announced later. Mo Gilligan who returns as the host for the award ceremony said in a statement that hosting the Brits last year was one of the most phenomenal moments of his life. He added that he has been so privileged to meet the excellent team behind music's greatest night, and he is so excited to bring their incredible audience members even closer to their favorite musicians. Mo said that he promises everyone that they are going to become even bigger this year adding that Let's get started!"

First-time nominee, Mimi Webb shared in a press release that being nominated for a BRIT Award is something she has been dreaming of since she was eight years old and she is grateful for the nomination. Mimi Webb stated that she cannot wait to attend the ceremony and witness her name alongside all the other incredible nominees adding that it will be a real pinch-me moment for her.

The artist who has been nominated under the Best New Artist category stated that she remembers watching Dua Lipa win Best New Artist in 2018 and being in awe of her and that moment inspired her to work hard and be the artist she is today. Mimi concluded that she is so grateful for all the love and support of those who have helped her get here and it feels so much better than she ever imagined.
