Alicia Silverstone strips for a cause.

Alicia Silverstone strips for a PETA campaign against animal leather. For one of their renowned ad campaigns, she posed in the wilderness only wearing a pair of cowboy boots, surrounded by cacti. "Don't be a prick, wear vegan," the caption says. PETA has said it will launch its new advertising campaign with Silverstone on a Times Square billboard before the New Year's Eve ball drop.

In a recently released video, the actress claims she never gets naked on the internet, never, nope—but she has accomplished so for PETA since she values the cause so much. Alicia continued by discussing the environmental effects of leather processing, stating that the amount of resources—water, food, transportation oil, and energy—that go into attempting to make leather is astounding and not sustainable.

The Clueless star is pleased that leather substitutes are being researched and implemented. Cactus, mushroom, and apple leather are alternative solutions to animal leather. Her ambition is to get these vegan, eco-friendly resources into the hands of a well-known designer. She also acknowledges in the clip that she likes the concept of being conscientious of not dressing animal skins as well as being conscious of the Earth since humans and animals must coexist with nature.

Alicia Silverstone stated that if it takes her getting naked to get people to care about animals, she will do so, and she stated that she would rather be naked than wear wildlife. In 2019, the actress stripped for PETA to urge people to abandon wool with a Times Square billboard, and her advertising project will have a billboard just in time for the New Year's Eve ball drop.

She said at the time that wool, in general, has not been recognized by many people, and it is merely not a topic that has been managed to bring to anyone's awareness. When asked about the process, she said it's just so quick shearing method, where the sheep are directly affected as they are cut. They are severely injured, and there is no treatment for them when they get injured adding that they just move on to the next one which is hurtful to imagine.

The starlet has been vegan since she was 21 years old, in 1999, and has always urged for a meat-free diet. She has been using her platform to advocate for animal welfare, and she has previously indicated that she was not always this fit and active or vegan, but she has always loved animals, and the physical impacts of going vegan have indeed been amazing. She also stated when she decided to go vegan, she felt more settled and transparent, and that it helped her comprehend and appreciate what food can and does. While the latest commercial makes use of humor in its wording, Alicia's appearance demonstrates that she is not doing it for the sake of just doing, it but because she desires a change.

Alicia Silverstone stated that after watching the documentary "The Witness," she looked at her dog Sampson and thought to herself, "If she is not interested in eating it, how can she continue to consume these other animals who share the same wish to live, are equally funny, and share the same response to pain as her dogs?"

The actress noted that she went on plant based diet for the sake of the living creatures, but the health transition she has undergone and continues to undergo is impressive. At the age of 21, this lifestyle change transformed Alicia Silverstone's world and molded her life and career.
