There is no way you haven't watched the cult-favorite movie franchise of all time, and if you haven't, it is time to begin NOW! Full of suspense, an emotional undertone, and a deadly threat lurking just around the corner, the movie directors made great work of adapting the J.K. Rowling books into series. The film effects are genuinely one of the best to be seen in the fantasy movie genre and create a seamless connection between the real and fantastical. The franchise includes 8 movies along with a newly added series: Fantastical Beasts.

Both the books and movie series of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers are marvelous works from fantasy. From the wish of the movie characters to escape their own lives in search of something greater to the unavoidable and fetching plot of real human emotions in a world so strange, the movies definitely knew how to make the real and imaginary meet. Apart from the captivating plot and well-made movie sequels, the series is in itself a record for creating Gollum - one of the first fully CGI-made characters in films.

Narnia

Magical talking beasts are the stuff fantasies are made of, and Narnia has plenty of them. Adapted from The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis, the book follows four siblings along with their magical adventures where they have to contend with Snow Witches, betrayals, Turkish Delight sweets, and the future of an entire kingdom. In this magical world, they meet Aslan, a brave talking lion that walks them through the paths of royalty. Directed by Andrew Adamson, the film franchise was truly able to realize the vision of the books and do them justice.

We all have wished to get a nanny like Poppins on whom we could sneak one day and see her flying off with an umbrella. The lovely woman comes into the Banks household when the mother is particularly struggling with her two kids and needs help to take care of them. And, hence, in comes Mary Poppins with her umbrella, strict yet loving attitude, and a briefcase full of magic. The story is a nice retelling of the point of how adults lose touch with the magic that is such an intangible part of our childhood lives.
