Finally, after so many delays and revised dates (owing to pandemic), 30th September 2021, will mark the day of the opening of "Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures."
So, to celebrate the highly awaited opening, a magnificent party was thrown wherein the top-notch stars and celebs of Hollywood were invited. The guest list covered a range of actors, directors, and producers to turn on the party with the brightest of the stars.
The museum was organized by the same group of organizers who team up for the Oscars every year. The motion pictures museum includes a Renzo Piano design for public performances, programming, and movie releases, that consists of a 33,000 square-foot theater for serving these purposes.
You can see the beautiful combination of slick spherical glass and steel building to create such a marvelous piece of structure. Many stars were waiting to be a part of the pre-opening bash but only the worthy made it to the league.
The Opening Gala was seen on Sept. 25, which was Saturday. It saw the arrival of Brad Pitt, Lady Gaga, Nicole Kidman, Queen Latifah, Angela Bassett, Kristen Stewart, Kate Hudson, Tiffany Haddish, Regina King, Patty Jenkins, Spike Lee, and many others.
The event was co-chaired by Ryan Murphy, Jason Blum, Ava DuVernay, and Bob Iger, who serves in the position of an executive chairman at The Walt Disney Company. A few respectable actors namely, Tom Hanks, Sophia Loren, Annette Bening, and even the filmmaker Haile Gerima, co-chaired the charming evening.
The star-studded audience enjoyed an hour-long musical by Lady Gaga. Her setlist was all mesmerizing and even included “New York, New York” in a jazzy edition. Her performance marked a standing ovation from the guests present.
Along with sharing the organizing team with Oscars, the eventful night too felt like an Oscar Sunday to the majority of its guests having the same essence attached but, without any awards, without any win or lose, and most importantly, without any television cameras on. The gleaming personalities and their beaming smiles brought them all together and improved their bond as the important elements of the movie-making world.
After all, it is known to the world that there is no business like the “show business, and this Gala event marked to radiate their glister even more.
