Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet met in 2005 at a jazz club. Jason shared with James Corden that he has had a crush on Lisa Bonet since he was 8 years old and when he met her at the jazz club, he convinced Lisa to take him home because he was living in a hotel and didn’t have a car. Jason shared, "We just happened to be at the right place, right time, mutual friends. I actually had dreaded my hair almost for her. I had huge dreadlocks, she had dreadlocks. I literally turned around, I was with my best friend, and I see her and I'm just like. She goes, you know, 'I'm Lisa.' I was like, I turned around to my friend and was, like, [teen girl shriek of excitement]. I had f--king fireworks going off inside me, man!"

He further said, “We went to [a café] and we sat down. She ordered a Guinness and that was it. I love Guinness. And then I ordered grits, and we had Guinness and grits, and the rest is history.” The couple got married in 2017at the Topanga, California and shares two children Lola Iolani Momoa and Nakoa-Wolf Manakauapo Namakaeha Momoa together. Lisa Bonet also shares daughter Zoe Kravitz with Lenny Kravitz with whom she was married from 1987 to 1993.

Lisa Bonet in her interview with Porter magazine in 2018 shared, "I can't say it was full-on from the moment we saw each other, but we have been together from the day that we met. In that moment, love came and it came big, and he did not run as I think a lot of men do. He basically picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, caveman style."

Jason Momoa in his interview with Esquire in 2019 had shared, "If someone says something isn't possible. I'm like, 'Listen here, I married Lisa Bonet.'" Jason Momoa is also close to Zoe Kravitz and when she was announced as the ‘Catwoman’, he appreciated and took to his social media to express how proud he is as he stated, “It’s perfect. She’s gonna kill it.” Zoe Kravitz also shared in 2015, "My dad and my step-dad get along really well, and my dad loves and is close with my [step]brother and sister. It's really beautiful. As long as everyone can be in the same room together, and have love for each other, it's totally healthy."

Jason Momoa while in conversation with Collider in 2014 shared about ‘Road to Paloma’, a revenge drama he wrote, directed, and starred in alongside Lisa Bonet and shared about a love scene in the film, "That was a motherf—ker. It was a very hard scene to shoot. She didn't think so, but it was. It was effortless and we got it in 15 minutes, but it was like trying to capture the first time we met, and yet have it be three times that. It was all the things we weren't saying, and we had to capture it in the perfect light. I didn't want to reshoot it. It's hard to get those real, true, beautiful moments."

The actor told E! that he just didn’t want to suck in front of his wife and wanted her to like him and love him. He added, "No, it's an honor [working with Bonet]. In this business, we have to travel so far away from our families. We have two children, so if we can work together, that's awesome. Before I met her, it was a dream to work with her."

During one of his interviews, Jason was asked about any special secrets for his long-term relationship to which he replied, "Haha! No. Men are idiots and women are crazy. Generally speaking, I'm always wrong, so I just apologize. They're queens, man. Take care of your queen, and she'll take care of her king. Just do everything you can for her." The Aquaman actor also mentioned that he is very grateful for his family and added when asked about too many beers, "I think I'd be in a whole worse place if I didn't have a beautiful wife and children. I'm very thankful for my family. They keep me in the sky but they also keep me grounded."

We wish both of them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
